for spiritual beings: angels, human beings, God wished to show his attributes such as justice, forgiveness, mercy, and self-sacrifice for the benefit of another in a concrete form rather than in abstraction.

So we exist to be shown something?
This idea that we weren't asked to partake in "God's theatre" but are here anyways always makes me wonder where this so called 'justice' is. Think of those residing in Hell, who were forced to exist on earth, quite possibly never had the slightest clue of what the 'bigger picture' was, and are now suffering for eternity for it. And God calls this a Divine Plan?

Quote:another reason God created the universe - to provide human beings with the preparation and training for their position in the new creation. After the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth (old testament promise), this universe will be completely destroyed with fire and will be replaced with one that will be absent sin and evil; and the current physical laws like entropy, (2'nd law of thermodynamics). people will have enjoyable and fulfilling work (no fatigue or drudgery associated with it) in the new creation which won't be under the curse of sin.

This is just white noise to me...

Christ clearly taught that nobody dies without having a clear and adequately understood opportunity to receive or reject His offer of forgiveness from sin of eternal life with him in the new creation. while the people experiencing hell will despise their restraint, they had demonstrated their preference for anything other than eternal fellowship with God. the bottom line is some people (spiritual beings, evidently God created them to have continuous existence going forward) just refuse to claim their inheritance in the new creation.

And I clearly taught that everything Christ said was wrong. I have the added advantage of actually existing, if you want to start blindly following idiotic and blatantly false claims, Snowy. Rolleyes

ahah...But are you the son of god? You blasphemer!!!
Your teachings are worthless here! Only the teachings of gods and their sons (which are their own fathers) are regarded as true. Everything else is man-made gimmicks which teach nothing, but the worthlessness of mankind!

Which he could have done far more effectively by owning up to his mistakes and letting Adam and Eve off the hook, as opposed to luring them into a trap and formulating a "solution" to the resulting "dilemma" that would have impressed Rube Goldberg.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

It is sad to see that the Lord's longsuffering and patience for man to repent and accept His free gift is often rejected due to a hard heart. God's plan is perfect.
