A christian is a follower of Christ. Some catholics are christians and some are not. The same goes for protestants. You're not a christian because you say you are or if you belong to a certain denomination. The defining factor is whether or not you believe that Jesus is who says he is and that you have faith in him for salvation. That belief will show in the way you live your life as well.

Oh, so what decides who are officially Christians and who aren't?

If you build a fake car and are successful at passing it off as are real car- is it a real car?

Just as the foundation of those groups is NOT Biblical/ Not what what was given as a foundation, they are fake, just as the fake car is.

When someone on here claims to be an atheist and he/ she gets grilled- no one exclaims- Petty differences.
Belief systems have to do with actual meanings and allegiance.
