I'd like to believe this is some poe or troll myself. Unfortunately I know some people really can be that messed up or worse.

Problem is, police can only do something if a crime had been committed or is in progress.

Nonetheless, it wouldn't hurt t to have local law enforcement check to see if this person has committed a crime.

Not too long ago, my local atheist's group had a huge douchebag threaten to kill himself at one of our events, after trolling the shit out of our Facebook page.

He seems to still be around, so I guess he was just looking for attention (we banned him from the group) but nonetheless we sent messages to both facebook and his local authorities. You can't be too careful. I'm in agreement that we should see about sending information out. Troll or not.
