Drowning a world full of infants and children because God was unhappy with their parents doesn't qualify as merciful. Even if you trot out the whole "baby murder is okay as long as it's God because they get to go to heaven" defense, drowning is one of the worst ways to die, and God intentionally and individually (as befits an omniscient being) maximized the suffering of innocents. So merciful.
Quote:Where in the Bible does it say that there are denominations? You are either a believer or not. Simple.
The Bible has to be interpreted
correctly. Which interpretation is correct? If there's not one correct interpretation, what's the point?
Quote:Do you wink at the great evil of men throughout history and hold contempt towards God?
Your god, if he existed, would be personally and ultimately responsible for every evil act of man, because his power gives him the responsibility to use it for good ends.
Free Will is not an excuse, either. God knew exactly what would happen if he did this, and the evil that results from mankind's alleged free will only happened because he allowed it. If God wanted us to use free will, he should have also designed us to better understand its consequences.
So, no winking. Just acknowledging that evil men only existed because God explicitly desired them to exist, and only did the evil they did because God is irresponsible.
Quote:I wish it wasn't either. I also wish cancer wasn't real either.
Well, isn't it your lucky day! Only one of those actually exists!
If this wasn't true, remember that Hell only exists because God intended to put people there. It didn't just naturally occur and nobody is forcing God to use it.
Quote:Did Hitler die to save mankind?
He absolutely, 100% thought he did.
Quote:Satan is pretty cunning considering he duped 1/3 of the angels and a vast majority of mankind.
That's funny, because it's just about 1/3 of mankind who has been duped into believing that Satan is real.

Unfortunately for you, Jesus makes it very clear in his Sermon on the Mount that, looking back, virtually no Christians ever living have ever even come close to meeting the standards he set for entry to heaven. You're all going to hell right along with us. You know it, too. That's why you take such great pains to misinterpret that sermon to make it sound like you have a special exception to all the rules in that sermon.
Don't worry, we'll keep your seat warm for you if we go first. And maybe you'll luck out and just end up with a rape demon instead of being forced to drink molten glass or whatever.
