I've considered something like that, except not really limit the number of licenses; and, if they have a kid anyway without a license, they only get the kid taken away and given to a family that wants to adopt. That way, kids are less likely to be raised by bad parents, adoption industry stays solvent, and everybody wins.

Feel free to poke the holes in my argument if you can find any.

Those are all pretty bad, but without the duct tape the hot sauce is meh...Although I didn't read that ones article. I'd say soap in the mouth is worse than hot sauce, but then again I eat jalapeños plain and got into them pretty young.

Nothing surprises me from Texas or Tennessee though. Loony people.

That was my thought too. Then I read the article. My advice is to proceed with caution. (On reading it I mean. It's really worse than the other ones IMO)

The hot sauce I remember it being awful when I was little and my mom used it like disobedience training. Some really spicy sauce can make your tongue sore for days if you hold it in your mouth long enough.
As I started getting older it stopped bothering me. I still think it's wrong and a stupid parenting technique, but the other stuff in the article was worse.

Oh damn, that is pretty bad parenting.
