Imagine a fancy preacher going to heaven and he has to clean out the sewers by hand for eternity. But he's in heaven and he has eternal life.

As comforting as all of those notions are, there's only, at best, anecdotal evidence, which is really not evidence at all. I get it: a ton of atheists tend to feel shocked as reason takes over faith, and like a security blanket being peeled away as a kid, the comforting shroud of spirituality being replaced by logic and facts can be jarring, but that in and of itself doesn't make the woo true.
The comments on the blog are hilarious, though. That's where you atheists are wrong. You think faith takes over reason? Or are you just offending us again. Hello, newbie here.
Question. If the claim of life after death is rejected because there is no evidence for it, shouldn't the claim of oblivion after death be rejected because there is no evidence for it? Quote:“Reason is a whore, the greatest enemy that faith has; it never comes to the aid of spiritual things, but more frequently than not struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God.” (June 29, 2014 at 2:48 am)Minimalist Wrote:(June 29, 2014 at 2:27 am)Knowledge of God Wrote: Do you think you have to exchange reason for faith? 1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? What they do with christians is destroying their reason, that is what is done. Reason is not a whore, Reason is raped. |
