The age of consent in the U.S. varies from state to state from 16 to 18. But many have exceptions where both participants are young.

Here in Oregon the age of consent is generally 18. But it is a complete defense to statutory felony rape if the defendant is less than three years older than the victim. It's a complete defense to misdemeanor statutory rape if the victim is at least 15 and the decedent is less than three years older. So really, as long as everyone is just under two years of age apart, the age of consent is 15. And no one is doing jail time if there is less of a gap than three years in age.

I might be missing something, but I feel like we were talking about adults who like BDSM, and then I said but not on children. And then Blackout said here 14 is fine.
I don't care if they have sex with each other. But not adults doing BDSM on 14 year olds.

What does religion really have to do with spanking? I've know many atheists who believed in corporal punishment, more so than the religious. The religious were actually the most passive people I have met when it comes to punishing their children like their belief that even criticizing their child by saying they did something wrong would harm their psyche.

No I was not prepared to grab 5 kids by the hair.
I was however prepared to see every time a car was coming. This gave me enough time to see where each kid was and make whatever decision necesarry to make sure everyone would be safe. Every kid was safe. I had the littlest one in my arm. The other three were by the house (not enough time to run to the street and get hit)
And LeliBug was right next to me. I never in a million years would have guessed that she'd step out, but I was standing right next to her and I did have my attention on her.

Actually there is something curious, you have to be 14 where I live to have sex, however if you have sex before 14 it is not punishable since there is no such thing as a crime of 'consented sex'
