how did you end up with a working vcr?
More to the point, how can you live with the picture quality! Edge distortion, wow and flutter, very bad SN ratio, low dynamic range, poor resolution, inaccurate colour separation, etc,etc... chuck it out please!

We have a VCR for old family videos. I tried going through and converting them to digital files but my laptop imploded..
