Hmmmm, since some parts of that mock dream got weird, how about just a plain jane 1988? I like older cars, myself.
And a Chipotle burrito with white rice, black beans, barbacoa, cheese, sour cream, and salsa fresca. I'm over there weekly at the SDSU student union.
But if the fire engine didn't have some laryngitic engineer shouting siren noises, and if I didn't exit the freeway at top speed like a weirdo, then, maybe I'd be driving this:

...and my aforementioned burrito would be dusted in Nesquik powder, and instead of black beans, it would be mini marshmallows.

I suspect they are both for an early warning system and to cause us to have a sense of awe and wonder at ourselves.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Where did I hear that before?
Mostly they tell me what I already know. For example, when I'm having a happy dream and all is going well, I'm married to my husband. Should a tire go flat or something else go horribly wrong my husband becomes my ex. This doesn't really reflect quite as badly on my ex as you might think. We were poor and all problems were more difficult.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

I often have dreams where I've given up on going to work or going to school. I don't really get it. They're common and they tend to be the ones I remember best.
I don't attribute meaning to my dreams.

I once drove an early Honda Civic. What a fun little car that was to drive. As for me, I had a Toyota Tercel. There's something about a car that simple that really appeals to me-- you know, if you need to change the clutch pad, you and a couple friends with a hand-winch can get the job done.

I have a few bizarre dreams now and then (like the one involving the Aztec pyramid and the giant pickles), but my missus appears to be the Whack-a-Nut Dream Champion of all time. A few she's told me:
-She went to work one day and the shop she owns had turned into a bank that was paying off depositors in jelly doughnuts instead of cash.
-She bought a holiday home for us in the CDR - got a really good deal, as there happened to be a family of elephants living in the front hall.
-Got angry at me for trading all three of our cars and the shed for a unicycle.
-She got into a knife fight with Charlize Theron, but didn't know why.
-Dreamt that I threatened to divorce her for buying a machine that made candy floss.

OK, I had an actual one last night. No vintage Celicas or fire engines.
I was standing on some beach on Lake Michigan and Tugboat Annie, a sightseeing boat I used to ride there in the 80's slowly pulled up and ran aground about twenty feet from where I stood. My uncle and a few other VPs from the bank he works at in real life stepped off and we chatted (at this point, my mother came into the dream). We all eventually got back on Tugboat Annie, got her ungrounded, and we were all back underway to wherever it was we were going. While inside the boat, my uncle showed me the controls that he worked with, which included a motorboat throttle.

As far as I'm concerned I hate old civic's. They are fred flintstoone cars. The holes in the floor get so big you have to stop with your feet.
