The One Thing the Atheist Misunderstands

Good grief man you don't have to trust a CONCEPT lol

The Bible is DEFINING God for us. That definition HOLDS UP TO EXAMINATION LOL!

now the local preacher and parent has their OWN agenda in interpreting what THEY believe NO ONE understands. To each their own for their acts of evil.

if you want to know what someone MEANS by a STORY that they tell.
you have to read between the lines a bit.

so go read those quotes I put in the first post that no one has dared to respond about yet.

maybe this time you will get it?

because the source is DESCRIBING something that can BE SEEN, Felt, Touched, Tasted, Heard...

really how can you guys not get this yet? LOL

Because it makes NO SENSE, and there is NO actual EVIDENCE of what you are SAYING being TRUE. ("just look out your window" is not ENOUGH)

And YOU'RE being a CONDESCENDING PRICK about it.
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.

Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.

Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.

Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.

Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."

I'm trying to decipher your EMPHASIS. When you say "the WORD GOD", do you mean, like, the word "God", or...Word God, as in "..and the word was God", or do you mean the Word God, God of the Word, like, Shakespeare, or Webster, or... Eminem?

In your mind, what or who is doing the anthropomorphizing? The authors? The readers? God? The Word God? The word God? The WORD GOD? Please provide evidence.

There's a balcony, a house, a barn, a yard, some trees, and a black sky out of my window; none of these things answers my specific questions to you and won't be counted as evidence. Do I really have to say this?

haha you are close man you will likely figure it out.
To clarify:
I mean the symbols G, O, and D when placed together as part of the English language.
I mean the guys or guy or gal who wrote the Book (idk I wasn't there)

And does all that stuff outside look like it is part of a LIVING UNIVERSE?
or a DEAD UNIVERSE?

Do you really ONLY see the DEAD in things? lol

to me a rock is just part of God's bones.
there is trees and animals and life popping up all over in God.
I'm gonna stick with He is ALIVE lol

unless you can prove all this life is popping up because the universe it is in is DEAD....

I see you laugh a lot... that's good... that's healthy.

Now, onto the meat of the matter...
You claim the Universe is sentient. And this sentient Universe is what was originally intended to be god, but the message was conveyed in such a skewed, metaphorical way that this meaning became lost, even for those who believe in a god.
I see you quote the christian bible a lot... does the same apply for other so-called holy books?
The hindu religion(s) has(have) a pantheon of gods... how does that fit with the "god is the sentient universe" notion of yours?
Same for ancient Sumerian... the one that was the actual birthplace of the Yahweh myth... How does that work?

Also, do you have any evidence of that universal sentience?

Good grief you guys READ what I wrote...

I am saying the DEFINITION of God is NOT OURS TO MAKE. IT IS THE AUTHORS

by asking me if the Universe is sentient you are indicating you do not understand what i am saying.
I am saying the WORD GOD is the ANTHROPOMORPHIZING of the UNIVERSE as defined by the AUTHORS of RELIGIOUS TEXTS.

I BELIEVE the Universe is alive yes. I can see life popping out all over the place to me it is ridiculous to assert otherwise.

Can you prove it is dead? lol

What you have brought up is the ONLY valid argument on the God topic.
Is he ALIVE or NOT?

Because we all know what EVERYTHING means.
Now see it ALL (even whatever may or may not have created it) as ONE and ALIVE and be GRATEFUL FOR IT and you WILL see the LORD thy GOD before you. And laugh harder than you ever have in your life.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!

Why should I redefine "Universe" to the word "god" and then attach all the baggage that the word "god" has accrued throughout the ages to the Universe?

I give you an 8 for not being like most other theists.
A 2 for writing style.
A 3 for how the message is understood by others.

HAHA relax man you will get this, try without being a hateful and having contempt and judgement and EXPECTATIONS in your heart.

and again the BIBLE quotes at the first post in this thread are CLEAR evidence of the DEFINITION of God as WRITTEN by the AUTHORS.

GOD is a GOOD thing to KNOW hahahahahahahahahaha

Mean people will NEVER get it.

you would have a better chance of walking across the bottom of the ocean with a McDonald's straw to breathe through, than EVER understanding THAT WHICH IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. you MUST BE LOVING IN YOUR HEART AND GRATEFUL TO BE A PART OF IT ALL!!!!!!
God is NO FOOL.

Why should I care for what the original creators of the word meant?
Oh, and whoever wrote the bible was not the original creator of the word "god", nor the concept.

you should care what it means because it is what you are DENYING EXISTS HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

yet there it is plain as DAY for ANYONE to see that isn't mentally handicapped with whatever disease blocks you from understanding SIMPLE CONCEPTS lol.

and good point but they AGREED on the DEFINITION.

Can we not also agree?

RE: The One Thing the Atheist Misunderstands
Why dead? That implies something used to be alive. I see non-life and the process of complexification leading to life. The line between non-life and life gets a little fuzzy, but I would say the different methods for maintaining a stable existence sets the two apart. But "dead" is definitely on the same side of the line as life.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue
