Not huperson but as sentient beings cats are also divided in their own mind and therefore can suffer pain and seek comfort when they feel the need for that.
So then 'happiness' is not a human invention, just a human description.

Yes, all sentient beings know pleasure and pain to make survival of the fittest possible for them. This is what makes evolution possible wherefore then also the Intelligent Design exists inside the species, and we are basic animal first.

In Catholicism man is basically good and eternal bliss is native to man as created to be. It so is that humans are an add-on to do the dirty work for man as outsider to man as earthly 'human' now. Hu- is from humi- as earthly to make man heavenly as opposite to earthly, if you allow me to make that distinction here, and so our human-ity is where we suffer pain and look for pleasure as outsider to our own self.

So therefore, the Jesus that they crucified was just our ego-consciousness and therefore is the second Adam who is charged to get this job done for us . . . and we just walk away from that and leave him hanging there.

I suppose this is why Jesus could say that he was the Alpha and the Omega which just means that he know himself including his own right where he was Alpha first.

You obviously don't even listen to your own pope, if he really is your pope that is.

Quote: “Through humility, soul searching, and prayerful contemplation we have gained a new understanding of certain dogmas. The church no longer believes in a literal hell where people suffer. This doctrine is incompatible with the infinite love of God. God is not a judge but a friend and a lover of humanity. God seeks not to condemn but only to embrace. Like the fable of Adam and Eve, we see hell as a literary device. Hell is merely a metaphor for the isolated soul, which like all souls ultimately will be united in love with God

He specifically calls Adam and Eve a fable.

Here's another quote adressing you catholic isn't christian bullshit. Also by pope Francis.

Quote: "Our Christian identity is belonging to a people: the Church. Without this, we are not Christians. We entered the Church through baptism: there we are Christians,"

Then at what level does sentience drop off the animal scale? Dolphins, whales, apes, monkeys, cats, dogs, squirrels, shrews, birds, fish?
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.
-- Homer Simpson

God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.
-- Superintendent Chalmers

Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends. There are some things we don't want to know. Important things.
-- Ned Flanders

Once something's been approved by the government, it's no longer immoral.

Don't go labeling them all sentient. Someone has got to go in the stew pot.

Right, care to tell me, where you get your wisdom from? Honestly you sound fake, since everything you said so far in this thread isn't based on catholic dogma or doctrine. The above is the most peculiar claim no catholic that I know of would ever make.

Also there's the bible not being important, Jesus being a mere man and not the son of god, catholicism not being christian. Everything at odds with catholic believes.

So either you follow the most peculiar brand of catholicism not accepted by the Vatican or you're simply something different.

Not sure if I was ever Catholic enough to know what they teach, but maybe me ex would know.

And be careful please, if the priest would tell us that "it is all in our own head" nobody would come back to hear that again.

So really, what they do is lead us astray (simply because you cannot go East from East of Eden), and thus farther West we go, and as we go father West they have confessionals placed along the way to serve as courage boosters to send us further West again, until finally we say: "enough, no more" and there the good shepherd will find.

Jesus was not God as crucified but was a the empowered spokes person after Christ was born to Joseph who really was the guy who this all happened to.

I really do not know but the obvious is that evolution proves this to be true in even plants that all seem to know how to prosper and survive where they are found, and are different by design so that they can.

I think Aristotle called our body a byproduct and Plato (or Homer maybe) defined our language as race, taking us all the way back to animal much like John said in his preamble of chapter 1.
