I have cats. One of them got taken out by a dog the other day and his brother obviously misses him. The cat will start looking for his brother and then come into my lap with a pitiful meow while looking at me. The cat is as sad as any human (or is that supposed to be huperson?).

Not huperson but as sentient beings cats are also divided in their own mind and therefore can suffer pain and seek comfort when they feel the need for that.

Erm, you're using the bible to justify insulting me to my face after I helped you? That is pathetic. Apologize properly or not at all, don't hide behind a book.

(OT I am very sorry to hear of your loss, I am sure both you and brother miss him. Undecided)

So then 'happiness' is not a human invention, just a human description.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.
-- Homer Simpson

God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.
-- Superintendent Chalmers

Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends. There are some things we don't want to know. Important things.
-- Ned Flanders

Once something's been approved by the government, it's no longer immoral.

You're basically making the same errors as the apologist Ray Comfort when it comes to defining atheism. For an atheist there is no god, since there is no evidence pointing to the existence of any higher being. It's just the absence of any kind of belief, not an impoverished belief.

And I find your explanations of Catholicism to be rather odd. It's certainly not what I have been tought when I was still going to church. It also seems to be at odds with what the pope and the bishops say. So I would ask you, where do you get your interpretation from?

I suppose that is the point I am trying to make in what Catholicism is all about, with my Christ-with-us, in that we potentially are God in our own right to be.

So you are saying that for an atheist there is no God 'out there' or 'no Gods' out there, and that is exactly what Catholicism is all about.

Then we have a different use of the word believe as from be-lief, and that does not include any fantasy. That is why Catholicism is iconic instead of a tall tale telling event that they reserved for venting in the confessionals.

Me? We had Cathechism until grade six and from there we went to different schools were religion was no longer taught, I think, or maybe I forgot what they had to say.

Right, care to tell me, where you get your wisdom from? Honestly you sound fake, since everything you said so far in this thread isn't based on catholic dogma or doctrine. The above is the most peculiar claim no catholic that I know of would ever make.

Also there's the bible not being important, Jesus being a mere man and not the son of god, catholicism not being christian. Everything at odds with catholic believes.

So either you follow the most peculiar brand of catholicism not accepted by the Vatican or you're simply something different.

Hmm. The amount of jerk offs we get playing up, it's hard to tell isn't it? I have no idea what the point of all this nit picking is. I really don't care what weird name christians call themselves, it's all the same to me.
