Have you ever read the OT? God is going around murdering people by the thousands on a whim if he's not busy destroying all of creation at once. Of course He would be ok with people telling you to kill yourself.

Shouldn't it be the Christians who should kill themselves and go meet their god as soon as possible?

Hello Maine Smile

Holy Christ on a cracker, it never ceases to amaze me how a "good" religion turns people into, or facilitates, being utter monsters. It's about as low as you can get to tell someone to kill themself. It seems you have given that advice all the weight it deserves. How dare they. Clearly they have their own issues which they are projecting onto you, which you will come to see is very common.

So sorry to hear that Nope, I can't believe that woman could be so cruel to your lovely son. And her husband! They should be thoroughly ashamed. I hope your son also takes no notice of them, they are hideous people and total idiots. Religion does have an obsession with wanting to run everyone else's lives.

Christians not acting like Christians Tut Tut. Anyone would think that they're human beings as well.

A disgraceful comment. You should ask for an apology op.

Isn't suicide, like, automatic hell or something?

I think the religion evolved a taboo against that for obvious reasons of natural selection. So, yes, look forward to meeting your maker, but the only acceptable way to accelerate the process is by fighting infidels.

Yes. Taking short cuts is cheating.

What if you build a Rube Goldberg machine to kill you, set it off, then commit doublethink to convince yourself that you hadn't set it off?

Or: what if you jump in front of a bullet to save another person? Is that suicide?

What if you subconsciously want to die, and it causes you to slip off a cliff because Sigmund Freud?
