Until you can get a job to move out, this might be the best course of action. Think of it as paying for shelter and food by just ignoring her delusions. For now, concentrate on finding a community college course that will help you to be independent. Your mom will probably be happy that you are planning for your future.

You are wasting your time. She doesn't have answers, she has dogma and you are not going to change each other.

A job would be a good idea if only as it would limit the amount of time you have to spend with her. Take anything you can get.

It's good that you're courageous about your atheism, but a roof over your head is sort of the trump card that your mum holds. Unless you're willing to walk the streets, giving atheist talking point to the other homeless people, you might consider belting up about your beliefs for the time being.

There are all different kinds of job in a parts assembly plant. If you want to come to Columbia SC, Clarksville TN, or Elizabethton KY, our brake plants are hiring like crazy right now.

I'm in Schenectady, NY.

Can you go to college or a trade school?

Just rob a bank or something. Then you get a free ticket into jail. By the time you get out and on probation your PO should be able to help get you into a halfway house or give you some advise on how to get into a better jail if you ended up liking that. Some people like the college and dorm room thing too though.
