Thanks all for your support. I am from maine. My mothers ignorant brain feels that all babies should at least be baptized in case they die so their souls won't end up in pergutory. What the weird! They just think that their God is actually real and there really is a place where angels sit on clouds and a red guy lives in lava .... Ugh. It's like not eating meat. Just because I choose to go against the grain I shouldn't deny my children meat since this is also supposed to be the only way. My rebellious choices should not be put on my kids.

If you're atheist, not sending your kids to church is bad. If you believe in faith healing, some states will let you slowly kill your children because you hope saying the magic words will heal them. Christian logic.

Had a casual convo with my boss...we are very much like father daughter. All I said was that the kids love him so much and hang from every word he says. I just don't want the influence. We had a very bad day together...very silent. He feels I was reprimanding him. His house (work) is of God and he thinks I'm telling him not to talk about it in his own home. I said talk away, it's his business to do so but to just not bring it up when my boys are engaged with you. He could very well had said listen to rap music. I would have asked him not to tell them that either. My boys say "oh my god" as figure of speech...my sister corrected them and said they can't say that and should say gosh. I told her that was bs. Why, they can't say your lord in vein. We don't beleive in that and it's a figure of speech. I told my boss I don't say God damn in his studio since I know it would offend him. He is way butt hurt about this and thinks I am telling him it's not ok to be Christian in the presence of my kids. He doesn't get that this whole thing really isn't that big of a deal, I just want to curb one on one conversation about religion and praying. That's all. He's like, so I can't keep a bible on the table when they are over? Ugh, I don't care if he has a giant crucifix in his yard and blasts Christian rock...just don't talk to my boys at eye level about it. They think his words are gold....no big deal, nothing to get worked up about. Tomorrow should be awesome at work...that's sarcasm. I said to him if he is talking about our hero soldiers protecting our country I would say the same thing...we do not have those same beliefs and do not instill these values. They go to public school and I hate that they have to say the pledge under God. I hate having to tell them their teacher is wrong about Columbus discovering America. My boys classmate was talking about Jesus and asked about it at home. I explained that others beleive in different things that work for them in their life but it's all not real...he's young and I hated having to tell him his friend believes in something we do not with a lean of being against it. Ugh. I just want this whole conversation with him to disappear. He's a sweet man and I dearly love him like a father. This is the first weird moment we have had ever...we've been working together for 8 months. His girlfriend, like my mother was in training to be a pastor. She prays a lot. I love that she loves something so much. She knows it's not for me but she knows I don't care if she talks about Jesus. I have even asked her many times about religion. I want to know all about it. Why wouldn't i? I feel you should see all perspectives when believing strongly about something. I just don't believe there is a god. Ahhhhh....thx
