gotcha sucka
If by "gotcha sucka" you mean that you squared your pointlessness, then indeed, you got me good.
As to the OP, it's a very promising trend in the youth to leave organised religion. Long may it continue. On the other hand, it seems that -- here, at least -- the nutjobs are doubling their efforts to "get them while they're young", unfortunately.

However, their efforts seem to be back-firing. This characteristic of the Millenials seems to be a product of right wing Christian Boomers embracing political power and the subsequent corruption of evangelical and fundamentalist churches, and the internet.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

True. The more the world progresses, the more religion regresses. And the more religion regresses, the more people are deterred by it. It's a slight generalization, but the pattern is easily observable -- in the West, at least.

All hail the millennial generation!
To be honest I think this only proves religion will decay but it doesn't mean atheists will become the majority since most people are not prepared to not believe in anything and still find comfort in a higher power or some theistic spirituality.

Stop, please, you're embarrassing yourself.
ETA: Never mind. It's clear you don't care.

I agree. This kind of beliefs is mostly a product of the human mind trying to explain the universe in an unscientific way and it's something that has always existed and always will exist as part of human nature, most likely. However there is hope that the most archaic and most harmful form of religion will fade away to become a minority.

"At least".
There's nothing funnier than someone sounding stupid in an effort to sound educated.
As for the OP, I've long been heartened by the demographics of religion in America. I won't live to see the day, but there will be a day when the religious of all stripes are a distinct minority who will no longer be able to peddle their bullshit by way of the legislative process and Constitutional violations.

Holy Smokes this is true! I personally asked any of the kids and even high Schoolers I work with if they cared if 'Minnie' died would they care.. The little ones were a little freaked out at first, but then I explained it was not minnie mouse and they were all good with your death!
Wow I guess a broken/stopped clock is right at least twice in a 24 hour period.
Your fucking kids? Wouldn't surprise me. I'm sure they are chips off the old turd.

Quote:But another major reason religious diversity is outpacing the growth of racial/ethnic diversity is largely due to the explosive growth in non-belief among Americans. One in five Americans now identifies as religiously unaffiliated. In 13 states, the “nones” are the largest religious group. Non-religious people now equal Catholics in number, and their proportion is likely to grow dramatically, as young people are by far the most non-religious group in the country. This isn’t some kind of side effect of their youth, either. As Adam Lee has noted, the millennial generation is becoming less religious as they age.
I could stand having every church turned into a Starbucks even though I hate their coffee.
Bold by me. That doesn't seem to exclude any other kind of woo. New agers of all breeds and colors may be among those religiously unaffiiated.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good thing, that more and more people, especially when they're young, move away from scripted religion and all it's baggage, but it doesn't say they're not religious in any way shape or form.

What's even funnier is that Drich is so consumed with his hatred of you that his kids know who you are.
