Does the Hippocratic Oath mean anything anymore??

Since Hippocrates was not a Christian, and his oath does not appear in the Ten Commandments, I am sure those who take Christ into their hearts can not but spit upon that oath when their inner bastard tell them to punish the child for the "sins" of the mother out of love for the savior.

A god that commanded me to ignore the welfare of a child because of something so petty would be no god of mine.

Maybe a christian will condemn these actions now it's become clear they have broken an oath?

I take the position that both the doctor and you have the right to be assholes as long as you are not substantially hurting anyone in the process.  In this case the baby wasn't harmed in any way.  In the case of the pizzeria, it had to close because left winged whack jobs were threatening to burn it down.  You should be more outraged at that than this doctors refusal to take a baby into her census.....but you're not....because you are morally warped.

Good old reliable. Defending everyone's right to be an asshole with one side of his mouth, griping about people being assholes in a way he doesn't like with the other.

I imagine he's aware of African Americans dying from lack of care in the USA when last we let healthcare providers pick and choose who they would treat based on to which demographic otherwise unrelated to the provision of medical care the patient belonged. I would like to think that his position is that the slope just isn't THAT slippery any more.

Trying to explain that others have the right to be treated equally and fairly to a sociopath is like trying to explain color and sunsets to a blind person. It is a futile waste of time. The equipment they need to respect others is broken.

Do you have any evidence to show that African Americans were dying cause doctors would not see them because they were black?   If you do, how do you know it was because they were black and not because they were poor and couldn't pay? If you have any evidence to support your claim I would like to see it. 

Now if you could convince me that the market isn't going to serve gays then maybe there is a problem that can only be corrected by infringing on the freedom of others.  I don't know what challenges the black community faced but I am alive today and simply do not believe a gay person can't easily find a florist, or a photographer, or obtain medical care when they need it.  I take the position that before we start limiting peoples individual rights, we need a damn good reason.  Preventing butthurt is not a good reason.

Are you not going to condemn this doctor for breaking her oath?
