Indiana's Govenor Signs 'Religious Freedom' Bill

Gays can still have children of course, but I guess that's a mystery to some people.

See, I look at it as the world is full of Heywoods so why not even it out with my own kids that I can raise to be unprejudiced?
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I can understand that perspective, sure. Personally I would adopt, help one of the kids already in need of a home. If I could stand kids, which I can't. Reason number 2!

Personally I find the idea of a little thing that looks quite a bit like me to be freaky as fuck. I'd rather it didn't.

That is the smartest thing you said in a while.  Children is an excellent way to leave your mark upon the world.

Faith No More, if you think you are unprejudiced.....you're deluding yourself.

Everyone has prejudices, Woody. It's how we act on them (or not) that determines if we're bigots (or not).

As is the case with all but a very minute percentage of us, once those who personally knew us die our mark goes with them. Certainly you might be brought up in the future, but only abstractly; i.e., there was a man that was my great-great-great-great grandfather. Only those with an intense interest in genealogy would care enough to know your name or the handful of life-facts that attend this hobby.

Funny how these religious freedom bills never include a clause about the state no longer recognizing subsequent marriages to the first if the first  was ostensibly performed in the Christian format . . .

Why did you choose to respond to me when Faith No More is the one claiming he can raise children free from prejudices?

Cause you're acting upon your own prejudices.

Still waiting to hear the explanation why corporations are people with the right to refuse service to whomever they wish and keep the government out of their damn business but women are just baby machines and you feel no shame about intruding upon their lives and making important decisions for them because you know best.

Well, that may be, but at least I'm not allowing my prejudices to make a bigot of me.
