Did you hear about this? Posters have been stuck to public places telling people not to vote. This is what happens when there is too much Saudi Arabian money. Somebody needs to put a stop to foreign funding for Mosques. I know a lot of people don't vote, but that's because it's their decision and they don't have the threat of hellfire.

That would be fine, from a religious perspective, if everyone had the same interpretation of the quran. I doubt that they do, so what makes the people who put the flyers up believe theirs is the One True Interpretation?

There is one true interpretation but only the addresses know it all, God and the firmly rooted in knowledge (Mohammad and his family).  That is why it's necessary to have left a chosen leader that knows it's interpretation, because, the Muslims and humans will not unite on one interpretation without him, and so the Mahdi is from the firmly rooted in knowledge that will unite the world on it's proper interpretation.

Till then everyone should do their best to follow what they know of the clear signs of Quran and not to stick to unclear of it.

Prophet Yusuf participated in the government of a monarch so how can it be forbidden to participate in a democracy?

In a monarchy there is one man who rules all. In democracy, that man is meant to serve the public. So telling people not to speak their mind on something, i.e. vote, can't work in a proper democracy.

So... God needs our cooperation in local elections to get stuff done these days? He's really not like he was in the old days.

Why are these muslim asshats so terrified of people being free to choose?  Oh, right.  Because then they wouldn't be needed and their book of bullshit could be dumped in the toilet of history.

I like the "He uses other cultures to punish his people" excuse that goes around sometimes. He's restricted to only using methods that can be explained through other means.

It is getting beyond the joke. If that had been Christians we'd be going nuts, and this is on the same level. Politics and religions do not mix.
