Some double-standard you've got going for you.  Where is this thirst for evidence when you read your Bible?

Some scientists think that dark matter explains the topography of the Universe. The investigation is ongoing.  Right now, the reason to entertain the dark-matter hypothesis is that it makes the equations run better.

The difference between investigating dark matter, and investigating your particular delusion, is that the hypothesis positing dark matter will be tested one day, against reality, and if it doesn't measure up, it will be discarded. That is what rational people do when a hypothesis fails. It's what I did when I tested the god hypothesis, and found it vapid, and absent any value in explaining reality.

It's what you cannot do, no matter what, because you are terrified of going through life without your security blanket. You cannot test your god; that is an activity expressly forbidden to you. You must take the word of other humans and never question it, never test it against reality; and that means that you can never break your shackles -- you will always be a prisoner.

I feel sorry for you.

That's a completely moronic remark. Even if you believe that the Post leans far to the left, it doesn't lack credibility. They don't act as a mouthpiece for any particular party like Fox News does for the GOP and its base, white evangelicals and the extremely rich.

Huffington Post is center right (about where Obama is), maybe center left at best. Ariana Huffington is well known as being a conservative commentator and that's why Huffington Post is so out-of-wack with liberal reporting values.

Huff Post in no way leans far to the left. The far left is never represented by those Blue Dogs.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Yes. He extended Bush tax cuts (he urged Democrats in Congress to do so), pushed for Obamacare (only reason Republicans oppose it because it's called Obamacare), has committed attrocities in violation of the Geneva Conventions, deported thousands of more immigrants than Bush, spied on Americans (well the entire world really), has secret trade deals that negatively impact the ecological integrity of the United States, and is for promoting war in the pursuit of oil.

I've never said it was or wasn't there. What I'm saying is that atheist consider Christians delusional because we believe in the unseen God, yet atheist who believe in dark matter and/or energy that can't be seen nor has it any evidence do not apply the same state of delusion to themselves. I find this absolutely crazy. Then of coarse those who believe in dark matter and/or energy have convinced themselves it's there because there is a need for it to be there. This is the very same thing atheist say about Christians, go figure how they can consider themselves sane.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

"Believe in dark matter"?  I don't pray to or worship it.  Really, being a lay person, I mostly am just aware of it as a scientific theory which would account for some of what can be observed.  I doubt if most scientists would say they 'believe in it'.  However I believe in gravity because I've observed and experience its effects.  That doesn't mean I know what gravity is exactly.  I wonder if you can say the same about the god you experience?  I suppose this is where you reach for your rock of ages and make completely unsupportable claims about the bible.
