Oh.  Right.

No oil.

Min, sometimes your cynicism reaches ridiculous heights. WTF does North Korea have to do with oil?

Actually, if you think back to when the Bush administration was trying to justify the war in Iraq, they came up with the so-called "Axis of Evil," which was three countries with evil dictators that threaten the U.S.  Iraq, Iran, and North Korea.

But Min.'s point is that we'd have had a military intervention by now if Un was sitting on black gold.

Yeah, I get it now. Can't say I agree with it but I get it.

Liberal conspiracy theories are every bit as silly as conservative conspiracy theories.

(you are seriously overestimating my intellectual capabilities, Alex)

I doubt it.

It's not a conspiracy theory. It's an acknowledgement of the American mentality. Why is it that we're so concerned with the ongoings of the Middle East yet nobody cares about the horrendous violence occurring in Africa? It boils down to one word: resources.

You know the best way to tell if a conspiracy theory is nonsense? Look at the responses from the people who have the most to gain from it being true.

Example 1: We never landed on the moon. Imagine how much this would embarrass the USA and reduce its standing in the world if this were shown to be the case. But not a peep out of the Russians or Chinese - because they know the claim is nonsense. They would be all over it like stink on shit if there was anything to it.

Example 2: Barack Obama was born in Kenya. All kinds of noise from idiots like my own Phoenix Sheriff Joe Arpaio but not a peep from the McCain or Romney campaigns or the Republican National Party - because they know the claim is nonsense. They would be all over it like stink on shit if there was anything to it - not to mention Hillary in the primary.

Example 3: We invade foreign countries for their oil resources. All kinds of claims from liberals who for some reason, abandon their critical thinking on this particular issue. But not a peep from the Kerry or Obama campaigns or the Democratic National Party - because they know the claim is nonsense. They would be all over it like stink on shit if there was anything to it.

Where have we invaded ( and not some commando raid ) recently that did not have oil?

Rwanda?  Didn't give a fuck.

Somalia?  Didn't give a fuck.

Darfur?  Didn't give a fuck.

Nigeria?  Didn't give a fuck ( because the oil fields were not at risk)

Kosovo?   Didn't invade...just dropped a metric fuckton of bombs.

North Korea.  Develops nuclear bomb but no oil.  Didn't invade.

Iran.  Developing nuclear bomb and the republicunts can't wait to invade.  Shitload of oil.

Iraq.  'Nuff said.

This is not a "conspiracy," AFT.  It's pattern recognition.
