Lol, really? No one's ever called me that before. Making good long term choices and looking at the big picture seems pretty basic to me. Now I'll have to ask my friend tomorrow if I come off as a control freak lol.

I don't really think over population is a problem per se, but distribution of resources is. However if things keep going then it will be a issue soon. But I think that soonish the third world will industrialize and once that happens the cultures will shift in a few generstions. And with continued drops.in world wide religiosity that will help alot.

Yes, I think overpopulation is a serious problem in many places. I don't think enough is being done about it politically. In England you are financially encouraged to have children to the point where it is an alternative to getting a job. I'm not kidding! And people like me who will never have kids are penalised at every opportunity. It's so arse backwards.

It's still nothing compared to countries where people are starving to death because there are so many of them, and thousands of people fleeing, looking for safety elsewhere.

I would dearly love to see more people adopting. It makes me so sad that there are children out there desperate for a home, while more and more are being created. If I were to have kids, I would adopt, simple as that. I'd never consider having my own, for a wealth of reasons; overpopulation being one.

I have very nonstandard views when it comes to the human race in general, views which cause many people to be uncomfortable unless they know me well enough to understand where I'm coming from. When someone announces a pregnancy, I try and be happy for them, but my internal dialogue I keep to myself.

I do not want children, partly because I think there are enough of us already, and partly because I really dislike them in almost every way.

I do resent it when people put their child in my face and say isn't it cute. No, they're not, at least not to me. I won't ever hold someone's child either. The way I see it, If I drop them or something then I'm not insured, and I ain't taking on that responsibility. On a funnier note, I used to have a script running on Chrome I think that changed pictures of children on social media to bacon. Those were the days.

Right, I wouldn't presume to tell anyone that they shouldn't have kids. I just have my opinions on the ethics involved.

I too hate kids with a passion. I understand parents think they are great, but keep them away from me...

If we're discussing killing children, it's probably best to pick on large families. They may notice one less kid getting back in the car, but they are sure to notice their only child going missing!

I wouldn't even necessarily say I hate them, I just do not care about them at all. When people start talking to me about their kids I walk away or change the subject because I really just do not care. I understand that they dote over them and love them because they are parents, but I have never had that 'urge' to want to reproduce. I've never looked at a child and thought "I want one of those". I think that is a selfish attitude to have, considering in the UK at least this generation are the first to experience a lower quality of life than the generation that came before them.

I don't want to bring a new life into a world that looks uncertain, and neither do I want the burden of having to look after it. I'm at that age now where my friends are all reproducing and posting pictures of ultrasounds on their facebook or social media accounts. *yuks*. TBH if I ever did have a small human the last thing I would do would be to plaster images of it everywhere. I probably wouldn't even bother telling people as the people I care about would find out soon enough anyway.
