Don't be deceived. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Believe on Him alone and you will be saved.
This was taken from the NKJV Bible, but it doesn't matter. It says essentially the same thing in every version.

The only deceiving going on, is  what you're doing to yourself. I suppose this is how you escape from a Biblical "truth" that you just can't interpret your way out of it. It says what it says.

Guess you should've picked a different verse(s) to discuss.

Hmm, I hadn't considered it from this POV before... but if Jesus said that wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, but that only a few will actually find the narrow gate to life, doesn't it mean that the overwhelming majority-religion on the planet is wrong, then?

Can someone look up for me which religion has the overwhelming majority number of adherents, and is thus clearly the "wide gate / broad way"?
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

Jesus is talking about sodomizing Peter here, right?

Jesus loves to bugger people and then conspire to get Judas and others to nail him onto a cross so he can come back - eventually when he feels like it.... I think he's in a coma now though - and then blame Judas and others like the two-faced non-existent fraudulent prick he would be if he was real.

Yeah I'm not anti-theist but I am anti-Jesus. That prick annoys me. Something about him - he's like Justin Bieber to me.

Edgar, I thought I told you to stay in the house. What are you doing out here running around and causing mischief? You come back inside right this instant.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Jesus - don't run with scissors... Leonardo Da Vinci didn't travel back in time to give you them just so you could run around with them like an asshat (Yep, for those who don't know Leonardo Da Vinci invented scissors).

It's hard to qualify for heaven but easy to qualify for hell.

Why KJV? The Sinai Bible is the oldest known extant copy of the Bible. A direct translation from that would be much closer to the source.

Have Christians considered that god did actually become a human? He gave it all up, to walk among us, and try to sort everything out?

And we nailed him up because he was annoying. That would explain the total god absence since then, yeah?

Your interpretation seems to be the exact opposite of the plain meaning of the verse.

I'm saying most Christians won't agree with the 'belief only in Jesus for their salvation'. Sorry I wasn't clear, but many sects of Christianity preach a different gospel than the one preached by the bible. They take away from the cross by adding their own works like repenting from their sins (repentance gospel) and being a good disciple of Christ (lordship gospel) which is all pride. The bible states clearly that the only thing to be proud about is what Jesus did and how GOd saved us.

Sorry, but that does NOT mean that the way into the Kingdom of God is simple, accessible and easy to enter.
I'll assume that you don't want to contend with the troublesome issue of there are few who find it.

Daniel, we're only talking about the verse from the KJV that you provided. Are you just playing around?
