What book are you reading?

RE: What book are you reading?
Hmmm, I barely knew JK Rowling existed. But I have to say I think Sword of Truth series is complete trash without noticeable redeeming qualities - sloppy, derivative, forced, domineering and crass.

You are the second person I know who despise his works. Ah well, not everyone is a Goodkind fan. But I don't see how exactly it's derivative? Sure, it's a bit crass and all.

Anytime! I really enjoyed the unique magic and characters... and if you like that kind of thing, his (Brandon Sanderson) Mist Born trilogy is a must read. It has one of the most unique settings and magic systems that I have ever read and it was a very fun read, too.

And... I love the Sword of Truth series. It definitely makes my top five of all time.

Has anyone ever read the following:

To kill A Mockingbird
The Time Machine
Brave New World
Fahrenheit 451
Stranger in a Strangeland
The Grapes of Wrath
Lord of the flies
1984
The Road
Animal Farm (only read this)

Brave New World (Yes, and loved it.)
Fahrenheit 451 (Yes, but too many years ago to recall much of it.)
Stranger in a Strangeland (My favorite Heinlein book.)
The Grapes of Wrath (Nope... should I?)
Lord of the flies (Yes, and a revision by a different author, which was an interesting take on it. Sorry, I don't remember who it was.)
1984 (Required reading.)
The Road (No, but I saw the movie and absolutely loved it.)
Animal Farm (only read this) (Yep, it's a masterpiece.)

Thank-you for your views! I want to read these books sometime.

To kill A Mockingbird (Yes, but I much preferred the film.)
The Time Machine (Not in a long time, since the days Wishbone was still on the air)
Brave New World (Not yet.)
Fahrenheit 451 (Yes, and I liked the Truffaut version as well.)
Stranger in a Strangeland (Yes)
The Grapes of Wrath (Same as Brave New World, but I do have the Henry Fonda film)
Lord of the flies (Yes.)
1984 (Required reading.)
The Road (No.)
Animal Farm (Yes. Making this required reading is damn near the only good thing my Grade School experiences [abusive as they were] have ever done for me.)
