Starbucks Red cups and the "War on Christmas".

RE: Starbucks Red cups and the "War on Christmas".
Since Starbucks is not offering ANY cups in a silver color, I consider this a War on Festivus! The Holiday for the Rest of Us!

Silver is the color of the pole we gather round and it would be nice if SB recognized our Holiday in this manner.

Bastards.

Bastards.

Take away the Festivus pole and The Airing of Grievances is reduced to family bitchery and squabbling while Feats of Strength becomes mindless macho posturing. Hell, without the Festivus pole, my family holidays might as well be a Eugene O'Neill play.

The morning jocks that I listen to (both professed atheists) state that we should all go to Starbucks, buy a coffee, and tell them our name is "suck it jesus".

Josh Feuerstein is just a con man. He is a rich kid in a mansion waiting for any excuse to make money off of people he knows he can excite using the persecution card.

Daily Kos murders him.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I guess if it pisses off fundamentalists, though, it can't be all bad.

The change has nothing to do with pandering to PC people, and everything to do with modern art and fashion.  This Ombre thing (2 tone colors blending into each other) has been all the rage for the types that tend to buy Starbucks.

Snowflakes and sleds are probably not cool enough, or too "common".

So when he said he was starting a movement he meant a bowel movement right?
Because from what I could tell his entire plan was just that.

i think anything that is going to end up in the trash should have religious symbolism on it i completely support that idea
Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today   FSM Grin   Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people Living life in peace You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you will join us And the world will be as one  - John Lennon

The easy confidence with which I know another man's religion is folly teaches me to suspect that my own is also  - Mark Twain
