You just argue for the sake of argue, do you Ton? In other words, you have no rebuttal.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

As usual you are talking bull Ton.
You were saying that religions and spirituality lead to bad governments so people will have to live in the sewer.
Just go in Vietnam or north Korea just to mention few.
There is no religion or spirituality in these places yet people leave in the sewer.
Wrong again Ton for the thousand time.

The clear evidence that the real knowledge is within is that you got to think and think before you may be able to come up with a solution.
Why would you think if the knowledge is not within?
Little Rik Wrote:Where do you think the spirituality is located? Quote:Nowhere, because it's a made up concept. The subconscious mind can be mapped and can be studied. It has nothing to do with "spirit."
You got to be dreaming Ton.
How can you map something abstract especially from a science that is not abstract?
Little Rik Wrote:That is not stupid at all on. Quote:It is. Being able to advance because you survived an otherwise fatal event is progress. To argue otherwise is stupid.
Take you Ton.
You are a survival but you are not advancing an inch.
You can't see the difference between survival and advancing because you are NOT advancing.
As simple as that.

Show me the evidence that physical science know everything about the subconscious and i will cover you in 24 carat gold.

No, but doctors will explain you the reason why the western statistics do not and can not
tell us the real facts.

No, I don't. I haven't ever found any good reason to, and I don't make a habit of believing in things for no good reason.
I would more generally advocate that one only leave one entrance into their mind(reason), and keep the rest of it rather closed, as it is one hell of a lot easier to shovel shit in than it is to get it out.
If the evidence and reason for you to believe something isn't really any better than the reason you should believe some rural farmer from Arkansas got anally probed by interstellar visitors, then you probably shouldn't.

The Buddha I don't think counts as a God. And Scientology has no God.
Are Buddhists and Scientologists Atheists?

And so is god.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

Gods had always been decreasing throughout history as the science progresses .. and now they have reached the extinction point .

Voted no. I'm 6+ on the Dawkins scale, closer to 7 than 6.

Nah. Never seen the proof and no matter how hard I prayed for fucked up shit to stop happening to me, it didn't stop until a long time after I became an atheist and stopped praying. Either "god" is a sadist or life is just a random bunch of fucked up happenstances and luck of the draw. I suspect the latter.

Excuse me, but if this thread is "important", then why is further discussion discouraged while it remains important?
Hate to be rude, but does the OP believe in loaded and irrelevant poll questions? Yes, it really can be that insulting to see that as an atheist (and probably so as a believer in different gods). It carries the most arrogantly self-centered presumption, which is typically held by one who composes such a question, and that presumption is that belief in his god is the only option other than total atheism. That's pretty big of one who probably doesn't believe in Cthulu, Thor, FSM...
I'll probably be accused of being nit-picky for this, and you did stress an interest in keeping the question simple. I would have simplified it with "Do you believe in any gods?", or "...in my god?".
Mr. Hanky loves you!

Because that's an autogenerated message that appends every thread that's inactive for thirty days.
Or it's aliens. Up to you.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
