Images of Local Fire Last Night

A local pub had a gas explosion/fire last night. Temp was sub 0F. The fire took out the whole building. Thought some of you might like to see the images. Fighting a fire in those conditions has to suck.

Saw that too. Looks like the contractors that broke the gas line and tried to keep it secret are a major part of the problem.
Wonder if it will occur to anyone to move the building(s) over on Dodge they are wanting to tear down onto this site if the building can't be salvaged ?? The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

This is so sad. An established business and so many residents all displaced. I hope everyone had insurance.

The Old Market area is all about the historical nature of it's buildings. Every time one is lost, it really diminishes the vibrancy.
I'm old enough to remember the Brodkeys (think it was Brodkeys, LOL) fire, we were driving through downtown (no interstate yet) and I saw a huge piece of burning debris land in the street. I remember the Cooper 70 downtown too. Sigh, they've lost so much . . . . The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
So sad, just on the news, one of the apartments has 2 cats that survived the fire, but it could easily be days before they can be rescued, the building is just too dangerous for anyone to enter.

'Teaser' clip on local news gives me reason to think the kitties have been rescued.
