Is Quran the proof of God?
RE: Is Quran the proof of God?
Always a pleasure to have the same conversation in two threads simultaneously.  I wonder if apologists go on the rag at the same time too? Sorry Atlas, it's just a fact. The early umma was largely illiterate and needed scribes and intelligentsia. They couldn't meet that need from within and so they had no choice but to "reach out".

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

No. I have my period only in September.

I love how you talk about it with such confident trust. Was that the scenario with everybody ?

You go back and check that link yet, or are we done talking about that? Don't tell me you posted it, but didn't read it........I'd be shocked.

I did read it, Rhythm. But, it's not like what you say is applied to every tiny single case.
Knowledge existed in sorrounding communities. But Islam made them blossom even more.

CAN and WILL are two different meanings. Can He create a higher being than Him? If He willed. But why do that because then He wouldn't be the Most High anymore and it would make no sense. And everything He does is sensible for He is the best of planners. U try to belittle God's supremacy to human standards. Some idiot human will let his ego get in the way and create a more powerful being than him just because someone says he CANT. But in the long run he belittles himself and no longer is the most high. God WONT do this because He knows He is The Supreme Being and nothing will ever surpass Him regardless of what anyone says. So we can submit to and worship Him alone in this life and be rewarded n the next. Or we can disbelieve in Him and His message and/or associate partners in worship with Him in this life and have the most humiliating painful punishment ever. But I guarantee this my friend if u don't call Him ur LORD in this lifeu definitely will in the next

What the fuck is wrong with you?  Just. . . no.  The caps, the spelling, the shitty ideas.  Just stop.  What are you going to achieve here but broadcasting your ignorance to the four corners of the world?

Why do you get so pissed off when people don't share your delusions?

Not at all my friend. We are having nothing but a friendly conversation about each others religious beliefs. In no way have I been upset by what u say. I apologize if any of my statements seem that way to u. I respect u as a person because unlike some other responses I've received from other members, u haven't cussed or called me out of my name or anything negative towards my belief. So again I apologize for any misunderstanding but all I'm doing is sharing my belief as Muslim and not intending any ill words towards any belief

No...neither the quran nor islam did any such thing.  An aggressive military state did such things, first by securing pre-existing knowledge and sources (the majority of "islamic science" being an issue of making copies rather than making discoveries).  Then, by co-opting the achievements of those groups it had subsumed by force. It's not as if there's any shame in this, the shame is all on your end for attempting to sell aggrandizing fantasy in contradiction to the very source you chose to present.

I won't talk about today's Muslims, but back in the past the scientific activity was pretty strong in the region.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_in...amic_world

Compare between this, and before Islam.

I don't think it's fair to say the Arabs and/or Persians being scientific is as a result of the Quran. They didn't go to the Quran in the same way students go to scietific literature. It's just in previous generations, when it was the turn of the Bible to hold society back, Arabs were allowed to be more curious. Even today there are millions of Arab Christian, and in centuries past there were many more Arab Jews, and certainly more Zoroastrians, so to say the reason is the Quran is disingenuous, I feel.

If we take Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi as an example - one of the more famous people from that time - he was an astrologer. The Quran has nothing good to say on astrology. What pious believer thinks that astrology is good source of information? Today his head would be cut off for unbelief as he would be seen as Kaffir.

Allah going to bathroom does sound pretty crazy. But Allah is all knowing? I don't know about that.

Quran 20:17 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?", Quran 20:18 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses."

Allah didn't know that fresh and salt water can mix either:
Quran 25:53 It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed.

According to several Iyah in the Quran (not just the two I provided), Allah sits on a throne, so Allah must have a similar shape to humans. Otherwise, how else could Allah sit on a throne? Honestly, Allah sounds like one of those rich despots, like Qaddafi, who puts everyone who disagrees in Internment and only pretends to care about the people.
Quran 23:86 Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?"

Quran 85:15 Lord of the Throne of Glory,

Sheed could you please stop shouting? We can see well enough in the normal size font, and for those of us visually impaired there is always 'Ctrl+' or a text to voice plug in.

But your stupid use of the xxlarge font isn't only aesthetically ugly, it makes you look like a toddler with impulse control problems.

P.S. Where's my shrubbery? Will I have to bring out the word on you?
