That would be redundant. This forum already exists for people who are or were in that position.

Too late I already created it.

At least it's more fun than your bullshit.

Probably has a lot to do with it NOT being an argument for atheism. Jesus tits.

Yeah "Jesus tits" is a far better argument for atheism.

What kind of loving God would allow his son (who is also himself) to die on a cross without ever experiencing having titties to play with first?

Well at least you're not a squisher then.

Fuck squishers. Love turtles.

I don't want to be squished.

We try to help you find some commonality with us, to understand our position, which is no different than your own with regards to all of those gods you don't believe in.  You think of them the -same- way we do, and by happy circumstance the same way we think of yours.

We do this, because it's clear that appeals to reason don't work.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

If we are hard-wired to believe in god, it shows that atheism is abnormal and god made it easier for us to believe in him, so he must be real.
If we are not hard-wired to believe in god, the fact that so many people believe in him shows that the evidence for god is so strong that he must be real.

Far more likely is that 1) it was evolutionarily advantageous to ascribe human characteristics to non-human objects, 2) it was evolutionarily advantageous to fill in gaps to complete patterns, and 3) early humans ascribed human characteristics to the gaps in the patterns they saw around them.

Except that I didn't set up a fork; I asked in one question WHY it would be evolutionarily advantageous for us to have this wiring.

Which is precisely the same question you have attempted to answer.

Actually, the more accurate analogy would be whether or not the Cable company exists.

Whenever I call customer service, I'm pretty certain it doesn't.

Kinda like your experience in prayer, I suppose.

Hmm.  Not sure how to take that.  I have been told so many times that "you haven't heard god's voice because you weren't praying the right way, or for the right things, or in the right receptive state of mind, or . . .       all of that BS.  I prayed quite fervently for well over 40 years.  You would think even a moron like me would get it right once.    Dodgy

OR, I could actually take that response as an attempt at humor, and not a slam at my lack of proper religiosity.  In that case, oddly enough . . .  Clap . . . good one.

Easily...since his existence doesn't factor into my fealty.  A great many shitty kings and despots -actually- exist, and you don't see me bowing to them either..whereas the "better america" doesn't and I'll grind people under my feet for that cause.

Which is another example of your pathetic reasoning, Rhythm. Seriously, if you weren't a mod...

The reason you don't bow or assert that you wouldn't bow to any earthly king is because you're not in a position wherein an earthly king has complete control over you.

Put you in the Hanoi Hilton for a few years, and the guards could get you to do whatever they wanted.

If your god isn't willing to do what -must be done- for me to declare my loyalty and lend my services.....which is a great deal more than just show me that he exists (my fucking dog exists ffs......)... then there's no point in him (or you) bitching about his failure, inability, or unwilling-ness.  Now is there?

I couldn't be a christian even if your god was real, my "free will" is a moot point, an excuse. Yet another lie for christ.

So, either God does needs to do what must be done to get YOUR attention OR you wouldn't be a Christian even if he did.

Which is it, Rhythm?

It's not an argument for atheism. It establishes the fact that monotheists are atheistic with respect to all the other gods created by humanity and is often deployed when a theist feigns ignorance when given the actual reason for someone's atheism.
