I must have missed the memo. I wonder why you see #nofatchicks bumper stickers everywhere. Never once seen a woman with a #nofatdudes bumper sticker. I wish you didn't have to be a jerk every time someone has a different opinion than yours.

Why can't it be about both? Why wouldn't I admit it's about attractiveness as well? I said as much up until now. But as I later added, I don't weight is what makes her unattractive to me, rather her apparently simplistic mind.

I think the objection with it being about both is that no one really believes any of you care about some random stranger's health. No one believes you really take moral objection to someone being of bad health either.

I take your other point, but only if you agree that this would have to apply to every other possible human action performed as well- namely, that there's no choice in anything we do. But that kind of argument fails by virtue of lacking specificity(if there's no choice in anything we do, what's the point of defending her non-choice of being fat, and not my non-choice for criticising her as such?)

Except I never said that. You're putting words in my mouth. I made the distinction early on between fat people who are fat for reasons out of their control, and people who are fat because of their own faults, basically, and even consider that to be something they should pride themselves on. I specifically said I have no issue with the former, that would be irrational, but I will criticize the later.

Perhaps in the UK, but not nearly here in America. Yes, I see the ads featuring ripped six-pack abs on young guys, but I don't feel pressured to buy into that image so much that I'm risking my life by sticking my finger down my throat trying to chase a standard of appearance.

As for whether she's fat or not, that photograph alone may not tell us much. What we know is she identifies as fat herself. That, for me, is enough to consider her fat.
