Well, I know what you mean, Aroura, but did you watch the video? That guy convinced me that there's something to the film, if not so much to the book.

I like the dark and edgier look, the movement and more artistic film styling. It is the actual CONTENT that drives me up a wall. The fact that Harry acts very out of character compared to the rest of the films (and books), including the later, even darker films. There is a lot of stuff in that movie (including Michael Gambon's first film as Dumbledore and he just wrecked it badly, but grew into the role in later films), that does not feel like I know those people. That is not Harry. That is not Dumbledore. Black is great, Lupin is ok (though again, written better in later films), Ron is even whinier than normal, Hermoinie is just a walking cliche. So I suppose it is really the treatment of the central characters and locations that I dislike. As a stand alone film, if it was not a HP story based of a book that takes place in the middle of an ongoing plot...yeah, it's a lovely looking film for sure! If only the director had cared as much about the characters as he did about the art of the film itself. I know a lot of film critics love the third film for it's style, and I have no issues with that. Again, I just disagree with the content.

Oh I just noticed this thread.
If you couldn't tell from my name, I'm a huge fan of ASOIAF. The TV show is what got me into the books. I started reading them after Season 2 of the show. I loved the first four seasons of GoT, but honestly I really did not like Season 5. So many stupid things. I just hope Season 6 turns out better
As a friend of mine says: the Starks, in the show, are all STUPID!
In the books, things make sense. Book readers forgive the stupidity, because they know the reasoning behind things... RE: Game of Thrones Season 5 Discussion [SPOILERS WITHIN]

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Guys. John Snow will be back.
But not as himself. The young Stark girl will wear his face and become him! You heard it here first folks!

Almost time for a new thread!
What's the deal with Bran standing next to the whitewalker?
I think they're going to tell the legend of Bran the Breaker through Bran's visions. The Night's King looks less gaunt and more robust, suggesting it was long ago.
