There's no grounds for evidence as what we refer to as aliens and "UFO's" besides outright speculation, argumentum ad populum and such. People claim that a vast array of people spectating the same phenomena and coming to the same conclusion is grounds for evidence. It's not. The only way for me to believe is to come face to face with an "alien". Even then, I'd be speculative. I don't believe what randomers post on the internet, and I certainly don't buy into this conspiracy theory.

Well, this is the very problem; we can never know what is going on at this secrecy level, so any speculation is about as much a shot in the dark as...well, God. So anybody claiming they know something like this is being intellectually dishonest, or would alternatively be required to provide further evidence of the claims which, at the time, could simply be either hallucinations, misinterpretations, delusions, etc., etc. 

It's also been known that the government have claimed that they had been covering UFO activity simply to stop people asking questions about their true intentions, ie. that "Area 51" is simply a top secret airfield for testing new, sophisticated aircraft. 

Of course, we can say that aliens technically exist from what we've seen, but our evidence is once more akin to that of God and other potentially fallible beliefs.

Honestly I can't argue because i'm not in a position to verify anything at that level so all we peasants can do is form conclusions without all the information, but our egos can say we have it all figured out because our brain makes sense out of what we have available to us. It's still interesting to contemplate and hear about that. Clearly there is classified information which is kept from the public about a lot of activities and technology the military is involved in. Just imagine what technology looks like in 20 years, and that's what exists today, but will not be made public.

You are right about the possibility this is all just disino to throw people off the trail of advanced technology. It's a possibility even for me.
