For those who haven't lost interest in my ramblings...

My wife's best friend played the flute at the wedding, she did The Shire theme from LOTR. The chimps were pretty well behaved, mostly just coming over to peer at us. After the ceremony (secular of course ) where we read our own vows, we got a tour of the park including behind the scenes where we don't usually get to go.

We're planning another trip back to Monkey World soon, it's been too long since we've been there. It's one of my favourite places ever. They rescue primates from all over the world, and tirelessly campaign to end cruel practices. We were proud to have our wedding money go to them instead of some hotel or whatever!

My wife originally had her heart set on a particular castle in Scotland. But sadly it was out of our price range, and getting friends and family there would have been a nightmare. So instead I got her a model of the castle for her wedding present! We hope to go one day to renew our vows. (I better catch her on a good day )

As you may have noticed, my wife doesn't feel very comfortable with pictures of her being shared publicly. So here's another one from the wedding I can share. It's me with my best man. He's her best friend's husband. I originally asked my brother, and he still hadn't given me an answer after 6 months. Yes, I'm serious. So we got totally sick of him and just excluded him from the wedding, as he obviously didn't want to be there. And this dude stepped up for me! One of my close friends IRL. Yup, another ginger

Do the curtains match the carpet? I know there have been opportunities for you to check. hahahahahahaha

Ooo, I've thought of doing that but I don't sew my own clothing often enough to justify the effort and the storage space for the mannequin when it's not in use.

I'd love to hear how it turned out tho! Might decide to make one in the future....

It worked out pretty well! I actually got rid of it because for a long while I didn't live in a place conducive to sewing. If you need storage space, I would recommend filling it with something cheap and removable. It's quite flexible when empty.

Emma is overwhelmed by the kind comments! It's nice that you guys all seem to see ginger hair as a nice thing. In the places I've lived, people get bullied just for being ginger. People have even shouted stuff out at her for absolutely no reason on occasion. I think ginger hair is lovely!

I don't understand this - when I went red, everyone thought it was great! Sure, there are a lot of in-fun red-hair jokes, but I seriously don't know anyone who doesn't love a red-haired woman. No one is ever malicious about it to any of our natural reds here - male or female.

Well, they are, but not because they're ginger. Mostly because they're individually assholes.

And with that, I leave a standing invitation to all redheads to move to Portugal!

Yeah, it does seem to be a UK thing. I've never understood it. I have become increasingly aware it's not the case in other places, which is great

But then I've never understood treating someone badly based on any superficial property.

Huh? No, I didn't say anything. It's a real website. It's a real place! You really think I'd engineer all of that just to try and prove she's real?

On the down side, all the cults that sprung up have abandoned worshipping her now she's turned out to be real.

I think she's lovely. I really really like red hair. Maybe you and Emma should just move to America
