Yea, my parents stuck to it. And it worked for me. Up until I was about 23 and realized that their ideas about morals and right vs wrong didn't match mine. There's no amount of training (read as abuse) that can prevent someone from ever having their own thoughts and developing their own conclusions.

So what I can realistically expect from him just isn't the same as I could expect from an average person. That doesn't mean I endorse or excuse anything he does or says. Just that I hold him less accountable than I would someone who does have empathy. I still fully discourage anyone else from following his example, in any capacity. But part of my own subjective morality, when applied to others, is to do with accountability and capability.

It hardly matters we're getting off topic since this was, if anything, a cry for help post if not just an attempt to annoy people. Maybe this discussion will help him learn something about himself, and give him a new perspective.

The reason I cannot agree with this is because he himself says that he does have empathy but that he refuses to acknowledge said empathy on his own choice because he believes it will appease his God.

Also, because the more he talks the more I think he's just a troll.

No dipshit, you guide a child, they are not dogs or seals in a circus. The only part you got right was "educate" but that means teaching how to think, not what to think. Kids are not clay, they are still autonomous individuals, not property, not pets.
