Of course, you'd justify it by claiming it's our own fault: "free will" and all that crap, but, if Mental Gymnastics was an Olympic event, the apologists would win a platinum medal.
Sin is responsible for the down fall of the creation and man is responsible for sin, so yes, it's our fault.

As I said, the mental gymnastics required are incredible.
24,000 children starving to death every day - "our fault"
Ebola outbreak kills hundred - "our fault"
Wars - "our fault"
Plagues - "our fault"
Natural Disasters - "our fault"
All knowing deity creating humans KNOWING all this was going to happen - "our fault"
Seems a vile kind of deity you have there, GC.

God: creates humans to act a certain way, in a certain environment, under certain parameters, with certain consequences for each action.
Humans: Act like they were created to act, in an environment created for them, under parameters set for them, and receiving consequences for each action decided for them.
Who is most accountable for all this? Stockholm syndrome much.
Coming back to Jesus: Was there loads of preachers at the time, talking about the end of the world and who knows what other nonsense? Yes. Is there enough evidence to pinpoint one individual beyond reasonable doubt? In my opinion, no. Could he be a mix of several real figures? Sure, with a butt load of fictional crap thrown in.

Dear Doctor, who do you blame for starving children, it can't be God you don't believe He exist. The people of this world could prevent this if they all acted together. Seems it's still our fault.
Dear Doctor, who do you blame for war, it can't be God you don't believe in Him. The people of this world start and fight these wars, we are the killers. Seems it's still our fault.
Dear Doctor you of all people should know plagues or generally cause by unsanitary conditions, God didn't cause these conditions man has. Seems it's still our fault.
Dear Doctor, natural disasters are just that, you can't blame them on God, you don't believe in Him. Yet God's people are some of the first to respond and some of the last to leave the people who suffer from these events. Just like the earthquake in South America, God's people have been pouring in to help in any way they can.
Dear Doctor, Ebola wasn't part of the original creation, God pronounced that all was "very good" after the creation, sin entered and so did illness such as Ebola. Out breaks are not caused by God and you yourself believe this because you do not believe in God, they are an indirect result of sin. It spreads widely mostly because of unsanitary conditions.
Dear Doctor, once again I thank you for you services to mankind, most here do not participate in such service, I do know some do and I thank them also.
GC
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

LOL, we have more evidence Joseph Smith existed than Jesus.
So 'proving' Jesus existed does what for them again ???????

But if he exists (Joseph Smith), you have to worship him.
That's what "exists" means, right?

Horny Joe was selected over absolutely EVERYONE else to straighten out the mess Jesus had made.
Glad he stayed modest about it.
LOL, the Mormons are going to cite Joe's existence as proof Jesus existed (and He fucked up His mission so bad it fell to Joe to fix everything).
I guess we can understand how hard it was for Jesus to get things right the first time, Mormon records PROVE even Joe had to revise EVERY revelation, most multiple times, to finally hammer out just what the fuck God was trying to accomplish. Easy to see how Jesus didn't have a chance to do it right, poor kid, and got nailed for failing too.

I can't help but think there were quite a few disgruntled Mormons in that lynch mob.
Joe had put a great deal of effort into keeping the polygamy teachings on a strict need to know basis, and when the beans were finally spilled, and the rank and file pew warmers at large in the LDS church realized they had been lied to about it (Book of Mormon forbids polygamy, BTW) and it was confirmed their church was being administered by poon hounds of the basest sort, there was considerable consternation and harsh feelings.
Not much of a stretch to think it might have been the impetus for Judge Lynch making an appearance . . . .
(heh heh, is Joe Smith really a martyr if it was the disgruntled and outraged members of his own flock that offed him instead of non-Mormons ??)
