Why is anyone outside of the right-wing conservative conspiracy-theorists that the Guardian targets, taking this article seriously? Any sensible person should understand that a woman making a video doesn't translate into there actually being liberal push or agenda. There is no "a call to action" among blacks or liberals regarding this issue; it doesn't exist.
Yet, the outrage ensues.

Correcting grammar is stupid. English isn't everyone's first language, and even if it is, as long as you can understand what is being said it doesn't matter.
The concept of "talking white" is bollocks though. Are you talking about white people from London, from Sydney, from New York, The Deep South Hicks? There's countless "white" dialects of English and many sound even more slang-y and "broken" than AAVE.
Calling out that blacks commit more crime out of context is a farce though. Everyone always wants to say "oh those blacks, so much crime, black-on-black crime!" nobody ever asks an important question, seriously, "why?". Nobody wants to address the cuts to funding of inner city schools, the school-to-prison pipeline, the bullshit and biased "war on drugs", the lack of support for grass-roots movements to help people break the cycle of crime and violence. Instead we'd rather send white police in, with no emotional attachment to the neighbourhood, to "deal" with the problem. At that point someone typically ends up dead who doesn't need to be.

In America what if you have a population where black people outnumber white people and a white person gets singled out and killed?
Also white people don't just get to not be incarcerated, they commit a lot less murder than black people but more than Asians. They're incarcerated more than Asians but less than blacks as a result. They don't just get college degrees for the sake of being white, they perform better than black people, but not as good as Asians, which makes academic success more of an Asian privilage than a white benefit and consideration.
This isn't to say there's no racism involved in the prison or education system at all and that it doesn't exist but your post is claiming as a white person you "get" these things, like a get out of jail free card and a good education card.
***emphasis mine***
Not sure if you mean to straw-man me or just read something between the lines that wasn't there. I live in the US so that's where my experience is, I think it would be disingenuous of me to talk about Uzbekistan because I don't live there even though I can google numbers about it.
If you read my post you'll see I never claimed any of those things. I also never said what race I was so not sure what your on about with that.
Again, if your just straw-manning me, ok. If you've genuinely miss read it I hope I've cleared some of that up.
Your post definitely implied the last two statements you styled in bold, so cut the crap.

It's like if I live in a part of Africa where rich black people live and say racism against black people is pretty silly, speaking as a person who lives around rich black people, they have it great.
Also just to add again those statistics don't necessarily prove anything about racism, incarceration rates and education rates among Asians is better in America also and they're none white but commit less crimes, place a higher importance on Education and have higher IQ scores. Especially Chinese, Korean and Japanese Asians.
Semantically you are correct, I should lead with my nationality. Sorry to have not done that. Allow me to edit it now. Oh wait, I did say that. So semantically you are incorrect.
The stats are actually pretty self evident as a US national. The only major racism I know against Asians is that they generally have "small penises" which leads to the males being less desirable in the dating pool. (http://blog.okcupid.com/index.php/your-r...-you-back/) It's not a common held racist belief that Asians are less intelligent and more violent then whites. So the data is inline with the racial bias.
Your argument for Asians would work if people held a negative view about their acuity in those areas. But that's not the case.
You're the one straw manning here. Fucking PC culture made you into a zombie.

It depends; always depends.
Some people correct you with a sarcastic smile, or on the web you'll find more "straight-forward" insults; like "go learn English", "you can't even spell you retard"...etc.
Personally, it becomes more irritating if the person is white, since English is usually the mother tongue of some white people. But other whites who don't speak English are also made fun of in terms of grammer.
so, I prefer if people corrected me, because I like to speak the language correctly, as it is, with the accent all..the whole package.
The correcting doesn't need to be harsh, the English speaker should consider the effort we go through to learn a foreign language and communicate through it.
But I admit that it's very tempting to make fun of the grammar mistakes of English speakers -especially white Americans- when they speak in other languages -like Arabic-; like pronouncing "Abaaaayyyyyya..Abayyyyyaaa". Or saying "Izlllllam". It gets cute too sometimes
Everybody must chill, that's what I believe..and making fun of you don't know is never fun. A little bit of considration wont hurt.

The answer to all crime being "tougher policing" is very much addressing the symptom and not the cause. I'm not saying there should be absolutely no police presence whatsoever in certain neighbourhoods or that criminals shouldn't be punished, but it's not preventing crime in the first place.
In most cases, crime comes from somewhere. It's not productive to just say "oh there's perpetual crime among [X race of people]... More police!" on it's own. If people give a shit about lowering the crime rate and improving the living standards of these "communities", they'll support community projects, school funding, promoting black entrepreneurship etc. These are the preventative measures and they benefit everyone, instead of just "sending the riot police in" to make white people feel safer.
