Either is a faulty battery, or not the right one for your pc or charger. Have you looked at the input/output values in electricity of these 3 devices? Amps &voltage?

Laptop charging but at 0%

1) Do this first ^^^ Make sure the output voltage of the charger is the same as the input voltage for the battery/laptop.
2) If you bought something that wasn't OEM, then it's very easy for it to look the same and fit in your laptop, but not be very well manufactured. 3) Try turning your laptop off overnight when you go to sleep and leave it plugged in and charging. Another possibility is that you have a voltage drain somewhere on your motherboard that is not allowing your battery to charge. This also likely would be the cause of bad batteries.

There is a real possibility that the charging circuit inside the laptop is fried.
You may find a couple of swollen capacitors onboard. They can be changed if you know what you're doing. ???
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
I think this laptop itself is very old and second hand.
It could be a damaged circuit inside but I'm gonna go with what TRJF said, he says his laptop stays at 0% now but works fine plugged in. I'm thinking mine might be the same, because this is an old laptop. I could get my laptop inside fixed, but it would probably be cheaper and smarter to just buy a new laptop in that case. The charger and the battery all match my laptop model.
Hammy, sometimes new compatible batteries have slightly different smarts in them which you laptop battery software cannot communicate with.
Forget what it says. Does it actually hold the charge when on battery? That will answer your question.

MH, nice euphemism! Must remember that one...
Makes sense! Hammy's battery isn't charging and he needs a hand! Maybe it's not his battery? Maybe he just needs a hand!

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be.
