I will add that the kind of stuff that appears in 12A films these days is pretty shocking to me. Maybe I'm naive, but a lot of it seems way too much.
On the other hand, I find 18 rated films to be stupid. It should be 16. The idea you can get married and have kids but can't watch certain films is just ridiculous.

Getting married and having kids at 16 seems stupid and ridiculous also.

When one thingamajig is out to destroy the world, I don't think it choking another thingamajig is the real issue one should be complaining about

Does she survive?
If so, then what's the issue.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Course not, she's a feeble woman alien! She's probably dead already just by being touched

I agree with this too. People are growing up way slower these days. I'd prefer it to be 21.

I agree with this too. People are growing up way slower these days. I'd prefer it to be 21. I'd prefer it be based on maturity as in one's capability of handling responsibility, instead of just physical age

In real life there's so much more to parenting than maturity and being responsible. I got married at 17 and had my first kid at 19. I think I'm a good mom, but I still think having a kid so young was stupid.
Being independently financially stable for one, you never know when the other parent will leave or die.

Ideally sure, but that would be hard to regulate.
If you're thinking of aptitude tests, I think that's also ideally a good idea, but I would expect uproar.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
