UK to leave EU

RE: UK to leave EU
Oh well, for once I'm fortunate that I don't have any money.

Now he goes out in style, going down in history as the double liar.

Double liar? Do elaborate.

He resigned and didn't issue article 50.

But other than those fuck wits everyone just got on with their lives. Except Scottish politics became even more energised.

Yes voters were equally as violent.

Evidence please.

What our chancellor said, and I have to say, this time round I agree with him for once. From our national tv's website.

Quoted for the ones understanding German.

In a nutshell he's saying that british politics is responsible for the outcome. By being fundamentally opposed to any European colaboration.

It's high time to make an effort to explain the European perspectives to the citizens. It's vital to steer the EU in a direction that not exclusively benefits corporations but also the common citizen.

Scotland would be beyond a third world country without UK assistance.
UK assistance..before or after brexit.......and since when did the economics of a decision matter that much in context...you should know from experience, today, that you're barking up the wrong tree on that count.

In any case, Scotland would get fast tracked as validation for the brexit fiasco.  The EU needs that sort of push.

Quote:Nope. I was born here and consider myself British even in the event of an independence vote. The only government I recognise is the British government.

We've had our Indy referendum and the majority voted No. If the vote today was a remain, would you support us having another referendum in say two or three years time? Probably fucking not.
So you'd stay, in the EU, and make noise about not recognizing your government?  As to what I'd support...well, that hardly matters. I'm american.

We're already part of the EU. We already fulfill all the requirements. A yes vote would mean that we'd never leave the EU. Easy.

Scotland is the third most productive region of the UK, after the South east and London. Which isn't bad considering how much Westminster prioritises clustering of resources around London.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Countries_...per_capita

Quote:The countries of the United Kingdom by GVA per capita sets out the gross value added per capita (as of 2014) for each of the countries of the United Kingdom as well as separate figures for the nine English regions.[1]

Here's Boris Johnson telling us ''A pound spent in Croydon is far more of value to the country than a pound spent in Strathclyde"

How do you think that the M25 around London was paid for? With Scottish oil.

Do you also think that Norway (pop 5.084m), Denmark (pop 5.614 million) and Finland (pop. 5.439 million) are too small to go it alone like Scotland (pop. 5.295 million) ?

Both sides were arseholes, but you trying to portray your side as angels is just pathetic and quite honestly not surprising from a Yes supporter. I'll gladly admit the No campaign had some thugs, but please don't generalise Rangers fans like that again. I actually know a few Rangers fans who backed your silly campaign.

Bye!

You may as well just renounce your British citizenship while you're at it.

Why renounce it if I don't need to?

I only came back to pass my driving test (did it last week) and to pay off the money my parents loaned me to move our stuff to Germany. I thought it would be better to earn in pounds to pay them off but now it will be easier if I earn money in Euros and convert it.

Think of me in a couple of years time when you have no worker's rights, no job security, poor wages and very little annual leave. I'll be going back to having 30 days annual leave, not including bank holidays, decent pension contributions and will be earning at least a third more.

Oh, well - I guess I'm going to have to get my taxes back and get the f*ck out of this country in the near future. I've been living in London for 15 years and could probably apply for citizenship, but I don't care much for dealing with British bureaucracy and anyway - I have family in EU and might want to move there at some point, so I'd rather keep my EU passport.

I'm curious to see what my employers will do, in order to keep their staff, the majority of which is from EU, as is the case with most London restaurants. Even now a restaurant has to pay someone £1000 (more if it's an agency), for recommending someone at my level (which is by no mean high), to work there for at least 3 months. I guess, once Brexit is ratified - the British are going to have to get off their a**es and start doing the jobs they can't be f*cked to do now.
