Is There a Difference Between Trusting Scientists and Trusting Preachers?
RE: Is There a Difference Between Trusting Scientists and Trusting Preachers?
That's not what -they- believe.  So, using your method, YECrs YEC belief gets an exemption. If you really only meant to say that the things you believe get an exemption.....then there's no point in having a method in the first place, is there?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Do you think that YEC'ists believe (in general) that I am not a Christian for not believing in YEC? No, they would not. Therefore not "core" therefore no exemption.

You're rationalizing, now...and not even over the issue in question.  Does your method, or does it not...make exemptions for core theology?  Or does it merely exempt what -you- believe? Core theology, and common theology, are not the same thing. I'd caution, before it crosses your mind, against exempting common theology as well...because you're bound to believe in something that other christians don't....and obviously the point of -all- of this..is to exempt what you believe.

I'm still not sure why you have exemptions, for any theology, in a method you claim to have used to consider your theology......btw. You're either exempting it or considering it, can't really do them both simultaneously, simple contradiction in terms.

The Fall is core to Christianity. Current theories/models postulate that Adam and Eve did not exist (at least not contemporaneously). I think our understanding of genetic history is growing quite fast and I will wait to see how that develops before concluding there is a problem.

There is a problem. For Adam and Eve the way you'd like them to have existed, you need to assume that our genes have been magically altered to hide that fact. If you do that, reason is out of the window.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
