I'm on fibre optic right now, but we used to be on the standard, basic slow internet with Sky. Virgin actually works out slightly cheaper and you're getting a major upgrade in speed.

I heard some horror stories about terrible connection with Virgin, but our service has only went down once in just under a year and that was when they were doing work in our area.

It used to go down quite frequently with Sky. But I see you're on BT, which is what my friend is on and he reports the connection is horrendous.

Yep.

At least my connection goes down less often than TalkTalk and EE did. I'd rather have slowness than random connection losses (which I still get, but rarely and they are resolved quick)
