Near death experience of Howard Storm
RE: Near death experience of Howard Storm
I can remember three times in my 25 years of nursing that a person told me about their Not Dead Yet Experience. I just ignored that part of our interaction and carried on with my task.

So you didn't look it up.  You didn't look up either of those other two questions either, did you?  How could you know whether or not what you're saying is...you know...true, how could you know that what you believe is...you know..true, if you're unwilling to do the work?  They're your beliefs, after all...don't they deserve that much...from you if no one else?

In previous posts I already show expert reports in which the brain is unable to do absolutely nothing as soon as the heart stop sending blood and oxygen to the brain.
Are you more expert than the qualified expert?
You just fool yourself Rit.  Smile
What does it say about your beliefs when a fool can dismantle them in two questions? What does it say about you when a fool is at least twice as inquisitive?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

NDE's are nothing but desaturation by brains of oxygen. The 'experience" NEVER consists in anything the person didn't already know about. The music and visuals are ALWAYS from the same culture of the person having them. NDE's are explained. Rats have them :

Every religion is true one way or another. It is true when understood metaphorically. But when it gets stuck in its own metaphors, interpreting them as facts, then you are in trouble. - Joseph Campbell  Popcorn

I want Arkilogue to comment on this, I'll be surprised if he finds some bs excuse/"explanation". I also linked him articles about how NDEs are simply natural and have nothing godly about them, I didn't get a response iirc.

Robertoooooooo.  Diablo

Storm was an atheist like you and more.
How the hell would he change and become a strong theist unless he got real evidence that God exist?

You never thought about that Rob, did you?  Banging Head On Desk

That study explain next to nothing.
It only show that for the first 30 seconds there is brain activity in rats.
That is all.
It doesn't even understand the difference between brain and consciousness.
As far as the guy think that the vehicle and the driver are the same thing he just waste his time and
at the same time fool those who believe in him.
The brain is just a storage of information and a source of energy.
It is the consciousness that decide to use all this to start the action of thinking or doing things.
The guy didn't get it that is why his research means nothing.  Lightbulb

You don't get it Rit, do you?  Banging Head On Desk

The brain and the consciousness are two separate things.
The fools think that they are not but they are.
When you see a car travelling you think about the car but if you think carefully you understand that inside the car there is a driver so there are two separate entity that take part in the happening.
As the car wouldn't go without a driver or a mind that program her the brain work in the same way so the chances that the brain is able to create an NDE experience are nil.  Lightbulb

I see..... you aren't so enamored with experts after all..unless you're pretending to have presented some, pretending that they agree with your religious beliefs.

Again we see the value you place on experts and scientific research.

Yes, and when you see a human body "driving down the road" there is a brain driving it. That must have escaped your vice-like mental grasp? I mean, if you're going to use analogies, however poor...to cover your lack of information on the subject you're discussing...at least try to structure the analogies properly....don't your religious beliefs deserve that? I;m actually trying to figure out what it is you do believe, and why you believe it. Beyond the first principle of your faith, ofc, that everyone is a fool who doesn't get it.

Maybe you're just bad at describing "it"....whatever that is?

Silly Rit.  Hi

The brain is not the one who decide to move the body.
The brain and the body are both matter loaded with energy that allow the body to move
but is the I that decide to start the action of moving and that I is the real you or the consciousness
to exist.
Wrong again son.  Banging Head On Desk
