I think probably his most under-appreciated film might have been 'The Frisco Kid'. Basically, a rabbi (Wilder) from Poland travels to San Francisco, meeting up with a gunfighter (Harrison Ford) along the way. It's no 'Blazing Saddles', but a sweetly funny little film.
