Question's for God.
RE: Question's for God.
Few more years and then a boy will be an adult.
As an adult anyone who accuse anybody else to be a despicable person whatever the accusation is can be sue and condemned to a pecuniary damage or worse as a jail term.
And if these accusations are the fruit of hatred and totally unfounded then it will be even worse.
I am just concern about a boy who keep on writing posts full of hatred in here.
What it will be of him when he will be an adult?  Huh

If you pay enough attention to what atheists write in this forum and I guess in other forums as well you would have noticed that they fantasize all the time about a God that according to them does not exist.
I loss the count of how many times atheists say that this God is a bastard because he let people suffer
and starve.
And by the way they keep on saying HE as if God would be a male.

How sad Ninfa!  Panic

Why don't you use your spectacles when you read the posts?
Never mind Ninfa.
LR is here to help you so he can point out to you some of the unfounded accusations about God.

1) "God" is hate, "God" is stupidity, "God" is the scum on the bottom of your shoe. "God" is not pretty and "God" does not care.

2) Justtristo Wrote:

Which of course makes God an incredibly sadistic asshole. Much worse than Genghis Khan, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot combined. God knows they tried!

Ninfa, these are just some among the many speculations that atheists in here write all the time.
They speculate that God is a bastard that doesn't care as if they would have the evidence that God
doesn't care.
So who speculate what?  Rolleyes

Well you tool, in order for one to discuss the subject of a god or gods with a theist, one has to talk about god, correct? You are trying to play the semantics game and I'm not falling for your crap. Play that game elsewhere.

If you seriously think that atheists believe in a magical sky daddy, you are deluded. And you need help for that because clearly, you don't understand the literal from the figurative.

Yoga meditation require not hard work but very very hard mental work.
Out of 100 people who start this practice maybe only one or two continue for sometime
and out of this one or two 90% of them stop practicing after sometime due to the frustration
of not getting an easy and mystical meditation.
Been there done that yog.

When your link say............After examining 27 people with different levels of meditation experience, he found 63 per cent of them had suffered at least one negative effect and seven per cent profoundly adverse effects.....it is obvious that D.Shapiro examined mainly those who fail and therefore I agree with him that meditation may have negative effect but negative effect for those who fail only.
For those who overcome the difficulties is a different story.

The same story apply to anyone who wish to get a degree in something.
Only few people succeed while most of them fail.
I once want to get a black belt in Aikido.
After the few month of hard work I gave up.
I was frustrated no question about it.
That is quite natural that by not succeeding a person feel negative effect.

If this Shapiro wish really to know about negative or positive effect on meditation he should come
to one of mine group meditation and interview those who succeed.

One more important point.

There are different types of yoga meditation.
Not all of them lead to a mystical meditation.
There are certain rules to follow if you want that the meditation lead to a mystical experience and progress.
The most important point is to have the proper mantra.
Only a real guru can do that.
Most of the gurus give old mantras that can not possibly lead in the correct direction.
Other rules are that you close your eyes and keep your spine straight during meditation,
that you follow a vegetarian or vegan diet and several other things.
I don't really know where this guy went to do his research but it is obvious to me that he didn't understand how the system works.  Lightbulb

This is nothing but a list of ad hoc excuses.  You're all "I've got this excuse, and that excuse, and this other excuse...."  It don't mean shit.  You didn't provide any evidence that any of your 'exceptions' even apply.  You just pulled a bunch of shit out of your ass.  You've wasted everybody's time typing it up because it doesn't count for squat.  Any asshole can pull a bunch of lame excuses out of their behind.  What you didn't do was provide legitimate criticisms of the facts quoted.  Probably because you don't have any.  What a waste of bandwidth.

Wrong once again yog.  Banging Head On Desk  Banghead  Banging Head On Desk

Your knowledge in psychology is next to zero and if combined with a total lack of knowledge about yoga then is quite easy to see your skepticism.

To understand what happen during yoga meditation is also important to understand what happen during  the withdrawal symptoms for drug, alcohol smoke or any other addiction.

The body and mind try to stick to the old habit.
Body and mind came to the point that now control you.
You are no longer able to control them and to turn the wheel around is not easy.
Most of the people who try fail.
Only few succeed.
Yoga work along similar lines.
Our materialism, our bad habits (nobody is perfect) and our karma are ingrained in our consciousness.
They refuse to let go.
By practicing yoga you try to turn the wheel around and that is very hard work that only few succeed.
To do this everybody in the beginning have to go through the withdraw symptom.
You may feel that to be a negative symptom.
In effect is a positive sign that progress is possible.

Dr. Shapiro confuse the frustration of doing the hard work which is a positive sign with negative symptoms that is why I said that he is 100% wrong.  Lightbulb

You fail badly Ninfa.  Banging Head On Desk

The issue has absolutely nothing to do with talking about God.
The issue is all about claiming without evidence that God is a bastard that do nasty things to us.

EVIDENCE Ninfa.........EVIDENCE not crap.

COMPRENDE the word EVIDENCE Ninfa?

Again, you are arguing semantics. And I'm done playing this stupid game with you. You made a claim about atheists believing in god, which is simply untrue. You cannot sit there and tell me what I do and do not believe. You are not me. And you are not an atheist. So you don't know jack shit.
