Rapid responses aren't much use when they are so rapid that you haven't taken the time to read what people have written, and think about your answer. One relevant, quality post is better than ten irrelevant, innaccurate ones.
Well sure for most posts. But what if he includes a shit ton of clever emoticons? Then reading and comprehension surely must be less essential, right?

It's not my fault you don't read my posts before replying Rik. You're continuing a "discussion" I never started, because you read one word and then went off at a tangent, like you always do.
I'm sure your Hindu god will overlook this fact when it views the thousands of posts full of insults you have made, way before this "discussion" started. Way before one person insulted you. Maybe you'll be a coat instead. According to his hindu god, Rik and everything else for that matter is an illusion, I hope the Rik part would've been true :v he's like the irrational schizophrenic voice you hear but with broken grammar and in text form

"robertooo ,
this life is an illusion, you're health is all in your mind
all u closed minded atheists , say this fake , open you're mind roberto

edit: huge text fixed, was my stupid phone doing it, can I also fix my phone with my mind, Rik?

Well, ofc it's always someone elses faults..lol. The only thing all your failures have in common...Rik, is yourself. Yoga didn't teach you that? What good is it then.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Gee, this is a very deep philosophical thought Rit.
I need some time to ponder and come up with some solution to your difficult question.
In the meantime may I ask you if any bell rung in your mind to see a very strong atheist like Storm becoming a very strong theist?

Not even one second.
The brain work in the same way.
As soon as the heart stop sending blood and oxygen to the brain the brain is automatically off.
No time to do anything at all.

That clearly means that the consciousness take over and again means that we are immortal.
A bad news for atheist pride but a good news for atheists anyway because we never die and

@Little Rik. Wrong, the human brain does not work like a light. Scientific studies has shown that areas of the brain are still active after death. In fact, in history, there were recorded examples of executed people's (by having their heads chopped off) eye's still moving and mouth's opening in horror. Therefore, consciousness, at least some part, does still continue to exist in the brain for some time. Therefore, it is very possible the near death experience Howard Storm had was just a manifestation of a dream like experience in his own head it was because his brain was still conscious.
Secondly, you accuse me of not using science and calling my theory bullshit. After that, you then ironically turn around and suggest that a magical man in the sky did it. Rik, you need to understand that just because we don't understand what happens after Death, or what happened before the Big Bang, doesn't support the existence of God. In fact, replace God in all your arguments with The Giant Spaghetti Monster and you'll realise how dumb you sound.

Inc.
You don't get it, do you?
Your problem is that you start judging by taking in consideration big things that you can not understand yet.
Brain and consciousness are two separate things.
The fact that during someone life are stuck together does not mean that once the body-brain die consciousness also die.
This concept belong to the stone age.
You can touch the body and the brain but you can not touch the consciousness.
The consciousness is an abstract entity.
It can not be destroyed ever.
It is made of energy and energy is made of consciousness.
They are the two sides of the same sheet.
Even physics tell us that energy can not be destroyed.
Get real mate and leave the stone age mentality where it belong.

I tend not to believe stories of near death experiences. But I don't think most people who claim them completely make them up, either. Perhaps they are dreams or our minds playing tricks on us when we are in a state of unconsciousness. Nonetheless I find them intriguing, especially when coming from someone who claims to have been a non believer and suddenly "change their mind" after their alleged experience.
My husband's mother is a doctor who works at a hospice and she says there have been times when her patients are very close to dying but still conscious, that they claim to start seeing things... like angels, loved ones who have died, etc. I'm not sure what to think of those claims.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
