Whew, I'm late to this party.

I think it's only a problem that it's so readily available for children to easily access. I never had the internet at home until I was 10, but I remember when I first got it, it's SO easy to accidentally fall across porn ads when searching innocent things on the internet. That's an issue.

I think even bigger though is the lack of education around porn. We've got people (teenagers especially) who consume porn, and then due to their lack of real life sexual experience they compare themselves to porn actors. It suddenly becomes "normal" to have an 8 inch penis and breasts that are shaped like basketballs, so guys with a (truly very normal) 5 inch penis and girls with B-cup breasts suddenly feel inadequate. I think that's partly why sex education is so important now, teenagers especially need to learn that porn is not an accurate depiction of sexual acts, and the actors are especially hand-picked for their features, which are often surgically or even digitally enhanced anyway.

What I find disturbing is the difficulty in finding porn of normal people having normal if exhibitionist sex, everything is taken to extremes.

The idea that porn and certain kinks and fetishes are taking over all of our minds because we have easy access to it is ridiculous. People were crazy about sex and had weird kinks for thousands of years. In fact I just read a primary source from the Victorian era that included a newspaper ad for "grandma" porn. And internet porn causing more violence against women? I don't see why that would be the case. There are tons of extreme BDSM videos with men "torturing" women but there are also tons of extreme BDSM videos of women "torturing" men. As far as rape fantasies go, if there were no porn videos that went to that extreme, then it's quite possible the men would take it upon themselves to satisfy that fantasy. I'd much rather a psycho get off on a fake porn video then actually assault and rape a woman, wouldn't you?

I do not find the images in most modern porn very titillating. Slapping a woman in the face with a penis is just stupid. Old vintage erotica with hair and clumsy sex is more realistic. Most porn is farcical at best. I think young male viewers of porn might get unrealistic views of what woman want out of sex . Erotica by women that shows women getting real pleasure might be healthier for young men to watch. Training videos before they venture off and disappoint some young gal. Young woman should learn to expect their sexual desires should be satisfied also. Then again, there are all types of folks and there is porn out there for them.

This is so important I want to quote it so it doesn't get lost. I have EXPERIENCED men who get their "moves" from porn, and I've had to patiently explain to the person how a lot of those things are for the visual stimulation of the MAN watching the movie, not for actually pleasuring the woman IN the movie. Porn presents such a distorted and inaccurate picture of mutual, pleasurable sex, it's laughable. Like...what is this business of the guy jack-hammering the girl's clitoris with his tongue like it's a punching bag?! (Was that too explicit? [emoji13] Sorry to the mods in advance!) Most porn willfully ignores the very basics of female sexual arousal and stimulation.

Guys...go at it all you want when it comes to porn; just please, don't extrapolate what you view to your IRL sexual partners. [emoji51]
