How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?

Trying to drop some lbs because I've gotten chubby.
I feel great back in the gym 4 days a week. Already dropped 5 in two weeks and some change. I need to drop another 15. I am haunted by my developing dad bod. I don't even have any kids. Not fair, age.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

A bit moody. Weird conversation with the mother, and I think tomorrow will be a heavy day with her as well.

Funny, the things we do to pass the time. (September 27, 2016 at 11:11 pm)Gemini Wrote: Got woke up by my six-year-old puking all over my bed. Hello, midnight laundry... Uggggh, I cannot do puke. I'd rather change 10 dirty poopy diapers then one bout of puking. *shudder*

It's starting to get really difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position at night, but those little kicks and jabs make it all worth it! Except for when it's 2AM and I'm like, "damn baby, why you up at 2AM?! Go to bed!" And then 30 minutes later my toddler wakes up screaming. And then all of a sudden it's morning. [emoji848] Hahahaha, Jesus! What movie is THAT from??? Cute little fella. [emoji6]

I'm feeling a lot better than my general manager, who just limped into the office fresh off the plane from a 10-day business trip to Singapore, Beijing, and somewhere in Estonia. Talk about 'rode hard and put up wet', the poor bastard!
I'm cautiously optimistic and a bit excited. KG may be transferring to a new position. Right now she's doing shift work, sometimes starting way too early in the morning, other times starting in the mid to late afternoon, never with weekends off. I work essentially 9-5 weekdays, and the mismatch between our schedules has diminished our ability to connect and do things. One of us has to take time off work in order to have a getaway.
The position she may transfer to is all day shifts, with rotating weekends off. We may get one or two weekends a month to spend together.
Slightly nervous about flying tomorrow, but excited for my holiday

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie |
