The lack of evidence combine with our own evolution created the system to bind the less intelligent to wills of others. Why? I've only been able to come up with one theory; people are scared of the unknown. They would rather be brainwashed and live in a bubble were their manipulated out of money and go to war the sake of others problems. I can't disprove something that lacks any measurable material, let people think as they like I don't really care. I've been fighting with these people since I was teenager, and I'm tired of it. Most every time I give me views I get ridiculed and insulted when I did nothing to offend them, but state an alternate point of view. So, why should I waste my energy with fighting the stupid?

Have you formally disproved God?

I don't see a need to waste energy on disproving something I find so utterly unlikely.  It's sufficient to shrug and say "Not convinced; not going to bother trying to believe."

I never had any success believing things just for the sake of believing, anyway.

Clearly this guy was indoctrinated with fear. It's a really sad thing to see. He's living his life afraid of something that doesn't exist, yet is so eager to serve it, he'll come preach to a load of atheists.

He thinks this stuff is just true, reality be damned. To him, it is real. I don't deny that. Can he ever snap out of it? Sure, I don't think it's ever too late. But you have to have the will to really dig up your beliefs and root around in them. That's hard to do when you're shit scared of your master.

      I know that most of us aren't among the stupid. In the reality of the western world were stuck with the christian system. I envy countries like Japan that has the simple system of Buddhism. I read an article about a lot of those beautiful shrines being closed down. (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/n...ples-close). Out of all the religions, I have the up-most respect for Buddhism.
