Quote:......so stop calling such things "logical concepts"...maybe?

There's no contradiction in saying logic would be different somewhere else. Unless you're from over there and can't understand my logical language..?

Quote:Oh, well, that clears it up. When god gods the gods it gods god. Jesus christ........

Well, I'm trying to understand your rebuttal, but I can't get one? All I get is something akin to a rage quit when I say "God creates", but it's extremely polite and civilised because that's Rhythm Big Grin

Quote:-and yet not but a moment ago you felt comfortable doing just that. Get your shit together.

Proposing different abstract concepts is leagues easier than trying to think up of new organisms with differing modes of thinking.

As long as Kant isn't violated... (lol)

Logic wouldn't be logic if it were something different, something other than logic.  That's a simple contradiction to identity.  You'll need to come up with another word for the system of "x" that you're using to make these statements, because it isn't logical. That;s not to say that thy couldn't be true, for all I know you got it right by accident. It happens.

When you say "god creates" I simply ask for a demonstration.  Until such a time, it's an argument from assertion.  No rebuttal required.

-but apparently giving them names to match isn't/  OFC, we both know why.  You want to -say- that you're being logical, even though you're imagining your own, different, "logic".
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. How do you logically marry "God creates" with the 1st law of thermodynamics? (energy cannot be created nor destroyed)

Agreed. That's why I focus on the objective aspects of an infinite, extant God...rather than subjective personality.

Logic is nothing more than an abstract language. Something coded in iOS is logical, but won't be so on Windows.

Can we call them "Mac" and "PC"?

Equivocation.  Propositional logic and boolean algebra in translation are not the same thing.  I mean, unless you can build a machine or a code that can take propositions in natural language and produce truth.   Rolleyes

Sure, you can call them whatever you like, so long as you cease pretending that they're the same thing.

oops, forgot there was more

What sort of demonstration do you want? What's wrong with philosophical hypotheticals? Thought experiments? That's the idea of discussion, because if you want something physical, then that's not very reasonable.

giving what names?

God creating a universe doesn't violate any scientific law, since scientific laws live within the yet-to-be-created universe.

Of course, my example was meant to be a metaphor for differing logical constructs.

They're the same thing, in as far as logical paradigms go. Set of logical rules A, set of logical rules B.
