Not every groan is lumped in with them.
I'm not just directing this question at you, either. You just had the most recent post of this nature.
It's not so much "watch the world burn" as it is "this is reality, deal with it" and laughing hysterically at the people who have worked so hard to force their manufactured (manu fractured more like) version of reality on others try to process this and fail in tears.
People crying, pissing and moaning because Trump won isn't solving anything. If they were that invested and worried then they should have voted (obviously a lot of them didn't), and if they did they should start organizing for the 4 years to come.

Ah, thank you. I think I understand your point of view more now. Personally, I am kind of going the way you are suggesting. Instead of complaining about changing the past, it's definitely better to work on the future. I am still terrified, but you can't have courage if you don't feel fear first.

That's rather obvious. But it doesn't change the fact that one doesn't have to have sympathies for the ones voting something like that into office.
I can only repeat what I said earlier. Always be advised to take any politician who presented himself as an authoritarian at his word. There's absolutely no reason why he shouldn't do or at least attempt what he promised to do. Checks and balances are pretty low at the moment. Many things Trump announced are more or less in line with Republicans. Climate change policies for starters, but also the intended rollback on many pieces of social legislations and minority rights. Abortion may be on the table also, given what he said, given what many republicans want.

I have the distinct impression that the socially regressive agenda which the old white men in the republican party will now try to push on everyone via their new found power, isn't actually at all what your average Trump voter wanted. I mean, I'm pretty sure they didn't vote Trump to get governed by fucking Gingrich, lol.

So?
It's done and it's not as if any rightwing supporter will take any lesson from that. They still believe these to be standup guys for the disenfranchised and fighters against the establishment. That's why I often use the vulgar term to describe rightwing supporters. People asking to be fucked with a sordid lead pipe. And asking for a second helping if they actually belong to any kind of social minority.

I agree, but unfortunately I can see a lot of them looking at this election and saying, "Well, most people voted for Hillary but Trump won. Obviously my vote won't count so I'm not going to vote." No, they'll just sit around and bitch at the state of the country and at the government, but they won't do anything to change it.
And once again I'll say that the claims of voter fraud are patently absurd in a country where half the eligible voters can't even bother to get out and vote.
